At Sandvik Coromant, our Product Management and R&D organization is responsible for knowledge, solutions, data and offer/product development, along with introduction and maintenance of a strong portfolio. We’re specialists in modeling of hard materials and the metal cutting process, and our work spans from understanding customer and market needs, to developing our offering and ensuring a consistent implementation.
To strengthen our team, we’re now looking for an experienced and influential leader to join us as Head of Business Control and Performance Management. Someone who’s ready for a challenging and exciting mission and eager to support our Vice President of Product Management and R&D in building the foundation for strong financial- and business control as well as performance management and project delivery in this area. Your mission
In this position, you’re overall responsible for supporting our strategic agenda and ensuring correct business decisions based on transparent information and proactive control. You challenge our ways of working and use your expertise in developing our financial and commercial agenda. You drive business mindset through the offer strategy process and product portfolio management while you ensure key financial aspects as managing costs, investments, estimates, future spending’s and return on investment in Business Control and Performance Management. Choosing the right bets for the future in terms of development projects is key, and you’re accountable for the process and tools to make priorities and selections.
By reviewing spending and return in terms of time, cost and quality you ensure strong performance management for our projects and product portfolio – both during the development phase and by analyzing the outcome and suggesting resource allocation for a balanced and attractive portfolio. To ensure a complete and holistic picture of expenditures, investments and resources needed is an important part of your job, and being actively involved in major investment requests you provide relevant insights. Being in charge of the processes in your field you always provide with support and expertise to develop best practices to meet organizational strategy and goals. You lead, coach and inspire your team and are an important part of our management team for Product Management and R&D.
The location for this position is Stockholm or Sandviken, and some planned travel is part of your job.
Your profile
We’re looking for someone with a bachelor’s or higher on Economics combined with solid experience from senior financial positions, performance management and organizational development in a global and complex setting. You successfully know how to be an active and trustworthy business partner and you’re skilled in turning strategic directions into everyday operational activities. Your structured and proven leadership skills enable you to effectively establish and cultivate cross-functional teams, and by showing the way in a motivating manner, you combine team spirit with excellent results. We’re a global player, and you must communicate fluently in both written and spoken English, while knowledge of Swedish is a plus.
You’re curious, entrepreneurial and pragmatic, and you utilize these drivers along with your analytical skills and strategic abilities in your everyday work. You confidently keep our set directions as you prioritize and execute activities, and you plan ahead to be well prepared for future challenges. Excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire change and bring people onboard are your keys to success, and you lead the way – for both your team and our organization – by acting as a role model with regards to performance, delivery and values!
