CIO Office supports the Sandvik CIO and ensures that all strategic aspects of the IT function at Sandvik are taken care of and being managed to facilitate the long-term efficiency of IT and its alignment with the overall development of Sandvik and the delivery of business value. Additionally, CIO Office ensures a consistent and strategic approach to the use of information technology across the enterprise. CIO Office consists of four departments IT Strategy, IT Architecture, IT Security and IT Risk.

The location possibilities for this position are flexible within Sweden.

Key performance areas
As the Head of CIO Office you report to the Sandvik CIO and will have responsibility for the following areas:

- Develop, manage the implementation of and follow up IT strategies
- Give directives and instructions regarding design, implementation and execution of IT management processes and procedures (except Finance, HR and Communication related)
- Define, maintain and report on metrics, to track progress against objectives
- Develop, maintain and manage the total portfolio of projects in IT
- Conduct Strategic Supplier Management - Analyze and anticipate future IT procurement needs and manage the supplier portfolio
- Develop, manage and implement the IT landscape strategy and IT security instructions
- Develop and manage IT investment reviews
- Support Sandvik mergers, acquisitions and divestments from and IT perspective
- Plan, design and implement an overall risk management process for Sandvik IT
- Generate presentation material regarding Sandvik IT (Monthly Report) for CIO to use with Sandvik Group Executive Management

Your profile
To be well suited for this role you need to have very good knowledge of Information Technology and profound business experience, as well as an understanding of how these are mutually dependent and can support each other. You have an MSc, MBA or equivalent, combined with at least fifteen years' relevant experience. You have also acquired business skills, financial knowledge and senior management abilities. Very good communication skills in English, both verbal and in writing are a prerequisite.

You have a strong customer focus, are result oriented, and know how to build effective, global teams and networks within all parts of the company. Additionally, you must be analytical and structured, with a high degree of integrity and a strategic approach. You are a skilled communicator, with an ability and interest in creating enthusiasm for, and ownership of, Sandvik IT objectives.
