PDU Exilis is a new organization that will be leading the acceleration and creation of a cloud-native Radio Access Network (RAN) product offering with commercial engagements starting during 2020. The new PDU will contain in one organization total life-cycle capability from architecture definition to deployment in customer networks & capability to contribute to open source communities in ONAP.
To set ourselves up for greatness we will count on our leaders to truly embody BNEWs three C’s, Customer Focus, Collaboration and Can-do, to drive the realization of the Exilis portfolio.
In this role you will report to Head of PDU Exilis and be part of the Leadership team.

As the Head of Cloud Infrastructure you will;
Lead a team responsible for the Exilis cloud infrastructure, ensuring we as a company succeed in delivering a cloud native RAN offering to our customers, including:
establishing and maintaining the reference cloud infrastructure configurations for Exilis, in collaboration with BDGS, to be used for design and testing
establishing the RAN application service, in collaboration with and contributing to ADP, ensuring that requirements for Exilis RAN solutions are met for the range deployment models anticipated (carrier edge, enterprise edge, hyperscalars, private networks, IoT networks, etc.)
establishing the practices to ensure that the software developed by Exilis is NFVI agnostic
establishing a competence training program for cloud native R&D, leveraging tools and training developed by other organizations where appropriate
establishing the security architecture, design, and implementation for Exilis to ensure best in class security compliance
establishing the NFVI-agnostic software licensing frameworks for Ericsson’s Exilis product portfolio for the range of deployment models
contributing to and driving the industry’s perception of Ericsson’s leadership in cloud native technologies in the context of RAN solutions



You will be expected to work closely with the other PDGs or Function Groups to ensure that their requirements are met and their needs supported, encouraging collaboration in the use of cloud native solutions.
You will work closely towards our market areas and customer units as well as Ericsson’s lead customers as it relates to this domain.
