Head of CMB Nordics and Growth Markets

Role Purpose
The role holder in their capacity of the Head of CMB Nordics and Growth Markets (inc.Luxembourg and Israel) is based in Sweden is the primary representative of the Group accountable for embedding HSBC culture and values and supporting behaviours in the execution in-country of global strategies; ensuring and embedding of Global Principles; management of financial crime, affiliates and conduct risk; the Bank’s relationship with government, regulators, customers and employees; and for ensuring that the Group’s corporate responsibilities are fulfilled in the local communities in which we operate.
At the core of this role is a customer-centric culture, focused on customer experience, professionalism and making sure that the customer is at the centre of all propositions.
The Head of the CMB Nordics and Growth Markets where required chair or participate in the relevant executive committees, be a representative of the Bank in the community, bring value and role model behaviour to the development of HSBC in the Nordics and Growth Markets is also a member of the CMB Europe executive team.
Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications (Minimum requirements of the role.)
First degree and/or professional qualifications in one of these subjects: Finance/ Economics/ Law/ Business Administration;
Successful management of a large branch or unit for a minimum of 10 years.
Ability to think broadly and strategically rather than focus on short term, local challenges.
Ability to translate Group strategy into a strategic vision for the business and deliver this through greater connectivity across customer groups and geographies.
Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels and from differing cultures.
Comfortable with ambiguity and able to navigate through and deliver in changing strategic and commercial contexts.
Good understanding of risk management and ability to incorporate risk considerations in to all activities.
Good understanding of applicable laws, codes, rules and regulations, good market practice and the Group’s own standards, values and policies, including Group’s Financial Crimes (Global Principles) and Global Conduct Requirements.
Fluent English is required.
