We are a growing team that sits at the heart of Volvo Cars’ transformation journey. Our purpose is to own the total consumer offer strategy for Volvo cars and ensures that all offers are not operated in isolation of each other but rather as a cohesive ecosystem. We stand as the strong voice of our consumers needs and behaviors within Volvo cars and ensures commercial capabilities are developed to deploy offers towards customers.

What you’ll do
To achieve commercial success, we need to not only develop great consumer offers like our cars, accessories and subscriptions, but also commercial capabilities like the ability to Trade in a car, run different types of commercial offer and price campaigns, sell cars from stock and pipeline, be able to smoothly do order changes and the list goes on. As the Head of commercial capability development, you will head up and build a team that is accountable for managing a portfolio of commercial capabilities from conception to market launch and improve on the capabilities already launched. This role will report to the Head of Total offer.
What you‘ll bring
We’re looking for you! You are motivated, bold with integrity and curiosity as well as take accountability for the success of your team. You enjoy taking on and delegating complex tasks and you are fast to identify what to prioritize to reach results. You can make a team work highly individually, in a matrix organization and you are proficient in translating data and consumer insights into ideas and proposals. With ease you can communicate clearly and have experience of working towards and presenting to senior management teams.

Qualifications:
·    More than 5 years hands on experience working with business development, particularly in a direct-to-consumer setting
·    Hands on experience form running commercial offer development or product launches
·    Leadership experience from developing previous teams is a merit
·    Experience in driving cross functional, international and complex projects is a merit
·    Proficiency in building business cases and decision material is a merit
·    Fluency in English, oral and written is key.
