Head of Common Data Warehouse Core

Arbetsbeskrivning

Analytics is about connecting people to data. In Analytical Foundations we want to do exactly that. Our vision is to “Enable all the people in Schibsted to leverage any data” and we will head towards that vision by removing friction between data and people throughout the 45+ Brands that make up Schibsted. Foundational capabilities include Analytical Data and Model Governance, Cross Brand Insights, Analytical Platform and Data Warehousing of key Cross Brand domains.

The Schibsted Common Data Warehouse

Our approach to providing all of our colleagues with data that is useful for them in their daily work is not one of centralization but rather of commonization and Mesh thinking. Through proactive collaboration with partner teams and stakeholders throughout Schibsted we isolate data domains, align on commonalities and remove redundancies by determining domain ownership and responsibilities. Our Common Data Warehouse is being built by many teams as an interconnected, joinable node structure.

Common Data Warehouse Core Team

Schibsted operates market leading digital Brands across the Nordics including Brands such as FINN.no, VG.no, Blocket.se and Aftonbladet.se. Data and Analytics are key capabilities within all Schibsted Brands and all employ highly proficient local teams in this field. Schibsted Analytical Foundations have in addition established the Common Data Warehouse Core team providing architecture, technical platform and core data domains common to all Schibsted Brands. The Core team primarily focuses on the domains of User, Content, Behavioural and Transactions. Leveraging data captured across the whole of Schibsted, the Core team serves data as a product for intersecting business needs to all Brands, Divisions and Corporate functions. Divisional and Brand teams such as the CDW Marketplaces sister team extends on the Core with data specific to their scope. The CDW Core team has the added responsibility of framework, architecture and best practices that ensures efficient and consistent development of Extensions.
