Head of Compliance Program Office - Sandvik Group

Head of Compliance Program Office - Sandvik Group

Arbetsbeskrivning

The complexity of multiple markets, laws and regulations is an everyday challenge for us. Evaluating and managing risks, and balancing them against potential profits, requires accuracy and strong integrity. Within Sandvik, we consider compliance extremely important, and we actively work to secure that we do business in a compliant manner throughout the entire Sandvik organization – always!
With the launch of our new Group Compliance strategy “Compliance. Simplified” and to advance our compliance program to the next level, we are now looking to add a Head of Program Office to our Sandvik Group Compliance team. It’s a new and dynamic role where your passion for integrated compliance is highly valued. The Head of Program Office is one of the four pillars of the Sandvik Group Compliance team, together with the Head of Third-Party Management, the Head of Global Projects and Technology and the Head of Culture & Ethics.
You are also a key Sandvik resource as we set out to further develop our ethical culture, raise awareness and actively promote the importance of compliance while we advance the world through engineering. If you want to put your footprints on our compliance map and take part in an exciting journey where we kick off a new strategy and aim for growth, this is your next career move!
Your mission
In this position, you coordinate initiatives to fully integrate our compliance program within our Group functions, as well as the business areas and their divisions, in the fields of Data Privacy, Competition Law and Anti-Bribery & Corruption. You actively work towards continuously increasing the maturity level of compliance risk management across our decentralized organization. You develop our program framework – making it smart, efficient and structured – to bring us towards a global shared view and cross-area alignment where synergies are leveraged.
You also translate laws and regulations into risk-based and practical solutions with the right balance between the need to enable Group oversight and to keep compliance relevant and effective within our operations. You enable a strong tone of compliance from the top down, in accordance with existing and upcoming laws and regulations’ expectations. You also make sure we run modern compliance operations based on the shifting needs of our business, and closely connected to the overall Sandvik strategy, growth plans and emerging areas. Through use of technology, automation and simplification, you look at enhancements, and you build the roadmap of prioritized initiatives to keep strengthening the program.
You engage Group functions, the business areas and their divisions through collaboration and transparency, while providing insights, monitoring performance of the program, carrying out risk assessments and reviews. Continuous improvement is at the heart of how you drive things forward, and communication and training are key success factors that you master.
You report to our Vice President and Head of Group Compliance and your location is flexible within our sites in Europe. Post covid-19, this is a role that includes some global travel to meet with our business and understand their needs and challenges.
Your profile
You are a compliance expert with broad experience from the field, combined with a program mindset. You have most likely been working as a Compliance Officer, Head of a Compliance area or in a leading position of a Compliance Program. You strive to ensure that the compliance program is fully integrated, and at the same time, you know when to apply strategic thinking to keep the big picture in mind. You are also very experienced in project management, risk management and internal controls, and you have previously been leading and coaching teams.
Naturally, you are used to managing relevant compliance systems and the Office 365 suite, and as we aim to be frontrunners, you enjoy exploring digital tools and new, smart and effective ways of working. In this international setting, fluent communication and presentation skills in English is a must, while knowledge of other languages is a real asset.
As a person you are confident, approachable and a clear thinker. You are a change agent that both influence and challenge us, and you build trusting relations with the people you meet. Acting on a broad arena and with a large number of stakeholders, you are skilled in balancing business needs with confidence and integrity – respectfully knowing when to push forward to reach results. You listen, evaluate and make things happen, with close attention to details. You also embrace the use of data, metrics and systems. On top of this, you bring an innovative, forward-thinking approach as you aim to improve our operations in this ever-changing business setting.
