Digital Services & Solutions is a recently formed function within Volvo Buses with the global responsibility for digital services and solutions over the life cycle. In close cooperation with our customers and stakeholders, Digital Services & Solutions are responsible for defining, developing and delivering world class solutions that ultimately drives earnings and profitability for our customers and for Volvo Buses. On an overall level, we have the global responsibility in the following areas
Enterprise Architecture & Data Security – ensuring a robust digital foundation
Business Development & Partnerships – driving business development and partnership set-ups
Connected Services – ensuring world class connected services for sustainable people transports
Volvo Connect – the “digital home” for all connected services & solutions
Business Solutions – ensuring world class digital solutions to support operational efficiency

We are right now forming our new management team, and we are looking for a person to take the role as Head of Connected Services.


This is how you make an impact
As Head of Connected Services you will form and lead the team that manages all connected services within Volvo Buses. In close collaboration with customers, Business units, Volvo Group Connected Solutions and other stakeholders, your team has the overall responsibility for complete life cycle of connected services e.g. new services design, development, deployment and operation. As head of the function, you will lead and coordinate all important activities in scope for Connected Services. Areas of responsibility include (but are not limited to…)
Innovate and commercialize connected services and solutions to drive profitable growth and customer loyalty
Understand customer pain points and opportunities for value creation, make prioritization of initiatives, provide clear input and support to developer teams and actively drive optimization of lifecycle cost
Define and own the roadmap for connected services, recommend investments and follow thru
Be the main interface for development teams for design, development and operations of connected services
Services life cycle management including ways of working with design, development and operations of connected services
Establish and maintain needed infrastructure to deliver and support services

You will be part of the management team of Digital Services & Solutions and report to the Senior Vice President of Digital Services & Solutions.


Who are you?
You are an effective business leader who understand the complete digital value chain and have strong relationship capabilities. To build trust, you listen and learn, yet communicate clear direction when needed. We also believe you have some of the following capabilities:
Knowledge of and proven track record of leveraging connectivity and data to create value adding services for customers
Strong experience in service design, development and operation
Experience from services sales and software-based business models
You are familiar with modern managing principles and techniques within a global organization and act as a change ambassador to reach targets and objectives
You are commercially oriented, intuitive and have excellent communication and team-working skills. You communicate with ease in English, both spoken and written
