To meet the growing demand for battery electric heavy-duty vehicles and machines, the Volvo Group has initiated the process to establish a large-scale production plant for battery cells in Sweden. What you will do
This role is key role in the construction of the factory in Mariestad. Head of construction has, together with your closest colleagues, the responsibility for the construction process of all the buildings and land at site, as part of the Construction & Infrastructure management team. You report to the Head of Construction and Infrastructure. You drive the planning and execution of the construction contracts. You have the overall responsibility for cost, quality and time according to the overall program plan.
Who are you?
You have a well documented experience of large scale industrial construction projects and a well-proven track record of successful partnerships in the construction industry. Equally important to the construction related agenda is the ability to work with other stakeholders within and outside the project a key competence.
Most likely you have the following profile:
* Relevant BSc or MSc and long professional experience within construction
* Strong business acumen.
* Experience in large industrial project with planning and construction phases covering CSA, MEP etc
* A can-do mindset with high drive and energy. Strong creative problem-solving abilities and communication skills.
* Proficiency in both written and oral English including technical language- Swedish language is also an asset
* A positive, proactive and curious mindset.
* A teamplayer with a genuine interest in being part of the green transformation and sustainable development.
Experience from green field industrial projects is preferred.
