We’re now looking for a Head of Content & Events, Communications who thinks about communication opportunities in exciting and different ways. 
The Head of Content & Events, Communications will lead the in-house Content & Events Team within central Communications. As a member of the global Communication Management Team, you will help to lead communication across the totality of Volvo Cars. 
Within your team, two pillars of content and events come together to secure a state-of-the-art function where we raise our ambitions strategically, and secure high-quality delivery of copy and multi-media content across Volvo Cars and produce and deliver internal and external events at the highest level - always with business benefit and multiple target audiences in mind.   
You will be at the heart of the planning, producing and executing on content for all our major communication activities as well as our major events around the globe. That includes creating meaningful storytelling content for multiple audiences and channels, crafting speeches for key leaders. On the events side, you will be responsible for delivering large-scale internal events that engage thousands of Volvo Cars colleagues across 30 countries, global car reveals that reach millions of people each year, festivals, investor events, AGMs, press events and test drives, as well as internal broadcasts and much more. 
Our new leader will set the strategic direction for the team, drive innovation, encourage new creative concepts, and secure excellence in execution - guided by our company purpose.    
The circa 25 people strong Content & Event team consists of highly skilled, creative and passionate copywriters, content producers, event producers and technicians. 
Main responsibilities

* Responsible for the strategy and production and on-time delivery of consistent high-quality content and events for Volvo Cars. 
* Allocate resources where and when needed and ensure there is a common theme and consistency to all content. 
* Coordinate content and messaging across the Communication department and with Marketing, Brand and other stakeholders across the company.  
* Define the content and event strategies.  
* Ensure all content generated is relevant for all media platforms as well as lively, differentiated and high quality. 
* Ensure all events are in scope of Volvo Cars’ events landscape and aligned with the Communication Strategy. 
* Develop a consistent, cohesive and strategic approach to Communications content production and development 
* Secure content and event performance framework.  
* Manage relationships with external production agencies for film and photography projects. 
* Managing the content & events budget. 
* Member of the global Communication Management Team, reporting into the Chief Communication Officer, and other related forums including the global Marketing & Communication Forum.  
* Contribute to leading the totality of Communications alongside other global heads and demonstrate strong leadership and values. 

Experience
We believe that you have either Volvo Cars or agency background and can manage and allocate projects with a regard for time and resource investment and schedule workflows in accordance with deadlines.  
Qualifications
* Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience in content production management, event management, communication and/or journalism. 
* Extensive experience of international events for different target groups. 
* Clear understanding of full spectrum of events industry, including creative concepts, experiential, media, technology, production and delivery. 
* Production experience across all types of content – copy, film, photography and graphic design. 
* Ability to work and deliver against strict deadlines and manage a team steered to do the same. 
* Fluent in English, oral and written. Knowledge of other languages is a merit. 
* Experience from working in an international matrix organisation.
