Head of Credit Risk to Nasdaq Clearing


Nasdaq Clearing is now seeking a Head of Credit Risk to join the Stockholm Office. Nasdaq Clearing is part of Nasdaq Group and is Europes fourth largest clearing house. We are a multi-asset clearing house and we clear derivatives products for three different exchanges based on seven asset classes, in the equities, fixed income and commodities markets.


With this position we offer


As Head of Credit Risk for Nasdaq Clearing, you will take part in a broad range of tasks, varying from leading the team, further developing credit risk strategies, managing the credit risks that Nasdaq Clearing assumes as a clearing house and interacting with a wide range of clearing members and internal and external stakeholders. The Head of Credit Risk will report to Head of Clearing Risk and be part of the first line Clearing Risk Managements management team.


Your role and responsibilities


Ensure timely and accurate credit risk monitoring, including delivery of reports. Interpret the information, present and suggest actions for consideration by senior management


Apply targeted strategies and further develop these to ensure that credit exposures are actively managed by the clearing house and meets the requirements of various external and internal stakeholders


Respond to regulatory authority and other significant stakeholder inquiries concerning Nasdaq Clearings risk management framework


Provide analysis and recommendations on counterparty credit risk issues relating to Nasdaq Clearing's business development initiatives


Lead the dialogue with international clearing members in ongoing monitoring and annual reviews as well as in conjunction with onboarding of new members


Manage a credit team of six members located in Stockholm and Oslo


We expect you to have


A degree in either Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics/Statistics


Solid experience from the financial industry


Strong understanding of credit risk analysis


Thorough understanding of the regulatory requirements that clearing houses and its participants are exposed to


Excellent communication skills in English both written and spoken to discuss and present to different internal and external stakeholders


Strong leadership skills to support and lead a distributed team


The ability to manage and build relationships with different stakeholders


It would be great if you have


Fluency in a Scandinavian language
