What’s in it for you
As Head of EMEA Customs Transactions you will become a main player for Trade & Customs and you will be part of the Global Customs Transactions management team.
You will own our daily customs operational work in the EMEA region ranging from ensuring timely, quality assured customs declaration forms, classification, solicitation etc. and regular follow up and reporting to. As such you will join the team in the middle of transforming from a paper based manual customs declaration team to become a modern trade facilitation function with automated processes and the focus on improvements, preemptive problem solving and control of the customs process.
What you’ll do in this important role
As Head of EMEA Customs Transactions you will take the leadership role in a team of ca. 15 skilled customs professionals in Sweden, Belgium and the UK. In addition, you will take ownership of the customs activities in Spain, Czech Republic and Dubai which today is handled through brokers.
You will be the owner of all activities required to run a compliant customs department and ensure the development of processes, people and relations with national customs authorities.
The team consists of just under 20 experienced and motivated team members.
Do you fit the profile?
You have several years of experience in customs. You have an affinity for processes and standards but understand that all tools, methods, and IT-systems are only valuable if they support a strong, standardized working process.
You know how to translate your ideas into concrete plans, and you bring your team on the journey to achieve these ideas.
As a person you are the one who listens at least as much as you talk. When you do talk, you talk with intent to learn or to give meaning and to raise the level of conversation.
You follow through on your ideas and your commitments. People around you see you as trustworthy, dependable and a collaborator. You balance the interests of everyone, and work proactive in shaping expectations from stakeholders as well as communicate your expectations clearly.
