We are becoming Data & AI driven in not only evolving our portfolio but also transform how we engage in pre and post sales with our customers. High-quality data in combination with technologies such as analytics, artificial intelligence and automation is for the evolution of our business models.
As part of this journey of becoming Data & AI -driven, Ericsson established a company-wide data strategy and Data Office in 2019.
The Data Office has focused on transformation and expansion with significant progress made in the three key areas essential to the implementation of the strategy: strategy enablement in the organizational units, deployment of the execution framework and the build-out of capabilities in the team as well as across the organization.
Now we want to take the next step in our Data & AI journey by appointing a Head of Data to unlock the value of data.
Position summary
The Head of Data is a senior leader with a business focus, who understands the customer needs, and provide input to the strategy and direction of the business accordingly, with a strong understanding of how to underpin that with data & AI.
You will support Ericsson in taking the next step to transform its business enabled by data & AI by:
Working with Ericsson leaders to define and champion the data strategy and strategy execution.
Define and execute data aggregation (data lake) strategy.
Collaborate with security to define data access strategy to democratise data
Drive critical data use cases to enable customer revenue and improve customer experience and enable higher quality decision making from Ericsson employees
Support transformation of the end-to-end customer engagement life cycles (presales to post sales) through data insights and tracking of business impact, efficiency gain and risk management.
Collaborate with and influence policy makers and regulators on topics of Data & AI to align them with intended direction of the company.
Candidate profile
You will work closely with the business and IT leaders in delivering data and AI transformation to the company. The successful candidate will leverage a highly pragmatic and commercial and technological mindset to gain credibility in the business, through the strategic solving of complex data & AI problems. The candidate will have experience leading and developing high performing teams of experts and working with business leaders to deliver tangible business impact. The ideal candidate has:
Experience
5-10+ years of experience in senior management role
10-15 years in digital and technology, at least 5 years in data management and broad network in data, AI and analytics community
5+ years industry experience
Skills
Strong data, AI / data science and technological knowledge and experience
Strong leadership experience in an enterprise or cross-functional role
Strong interpersonal communication and persuasion skills
Very strong change and project management leadership
