The mission of the central data & analytics (D&A Core) team is to transform the data ecosystem to empower our colleagues with trusted data, which supports the Volvo Data Vision of Powering innovation and every decision with trusted data.
To support this mission, D&A Core has 5 core areas: Strategy & Transformation, Solution Partners, Platforms, Architecture, and Data Governance, working to provide what is required to enable data and analytics teams across the organization to deliver value from data, whilst promoting a culture of collaboration and data excellence.
The principle aim of this role is to own the architectural framework and strategy for data and analytics platforms and tools, and the analytics information architecture and data model(s) across Volvo Cars.
What you’ll do
In this role, you will be responsible for building and managing the data technology architecture, information architecture frameworks, and architectural principles. You will run the data and analytics information architecture and data models. Lastly, you will lead and inspire a team of data technology architects, and information architects/data modelers.
Who you are
We believe that you have significant experience (10+ years) in data technology and information architecture. You are familiar with Data Mesh and you have knowledge/experience with data mesh concepts. You have experience effectively supervising executive and senior leadership stakeholders as well as senior and lead architects.
You are a great communicator, with significant competence in explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical business stakeholders. At last, you have a validated ability to influence decision-making at all levels within an organization, and in a variety of contexts.
The position will be located in our Gothenburg or Stockholm office.
