The mission of the central data & analytics (D&A Core) team is to transform the data ecosystem to empower our colleagues with trusted data, which supports the Volvo Cars Data Vision of Powering innovation and every decision with trusted data.
To support this mission, D&A Core has 5 core areas: Strategy & Transformation, Solution Partners, Platforms, Architecture, and Data Governance, working to provide what is required to enable data and analytics teams across the organization to deliver value from data, whilst promoting a culture of collaboration and data excellence.
Solution Partners is a central team that looks after the data and analytics needs of business areas across Volvo Cars, largely through engagement with data and analytics hubs and spokes embedded within business functions. This team also looks holistically across the enterprise, delivering Volvo Cars-wide data and reporting products. We use our deep understanding of the potential for data, analytics, and of each of our business functions operations, to deliver the best advice and support possible to our partners.
What you’ll do
In this role you will act as a partner to other Volvo Cars business units and local data teams, ensuring all are building their operations based on access to high-quality and trusted data from across the company. You will be responsible for building and coordinating strategic data and reporting products including owning and implementing the cross-business function data product development process. This includes acting as an enabler and accelerator of delivering value by business area hubs and spokes through the provision of technical expertise.
You will also be responsible for guiding and growing, assisting to recruit a great team of Solution Partners, whilst coaching and nurturing the Data Enablement and Strategic Data and Reporting Hub teams.
Who you are:
We believe that you are an experienced (10+ years) leader with experience managing other leaders and multiple teams. You have a deep understanding of how to build and run data and analytics products, with a documented history of achievements. Your bread and butter are collaborating with Business, Data, and Engineering peers both within and outside of your Business Unit to drive data product strategy at scale, with great communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences. You have got broad technical breadth including familiarity with data platform services.
As a leader, you have experience in cross-functional leadership, and strategy development. You have a commercial and consultative mindset and can plan and collaborate with members of a leadership team that includes multiple roles and backgrounds. You have a solid business sense with a validated ability to influence decision-making at all levels within an organization and in a variety of contexts.
The position is located in Gothenburg.
