About this opportunity
You will lead the Data unit in Financial Crime Intelligence, Investigations & Analytics (FCIIA), you will be responsible for a team of data specialists located across the Nordics and Estonia. The role can be based in Helsinki, Stockholm, or Tallinn. You will join a committed and enthusiastic team passionate about creating data driven solutions. 
What you’ll be doing:
* Responsible for the data strategy in FCIIA, building solutions to support data intensive complex investigations and proactive intelligence activity along with advanced analytics to support next generation monitoring capabilities.
* Coordinate and lead a data program, building a financial crime data hub, transforming internal and external data into homogeneous datasets and building a risk tagging framework to support advanced analytics solutions.
* Recruit, manage and coach a team of data specialists, responsible for the data change program and the subsequent business run activities.
* Product ownership responsibility of all FCIIA datasets, transformations and data models developed by FCIIA. 
* Engaging with multiple stakeholders across both business and information technology, translating business requirements into data solutions.
* Responsible for all aspects of FCIIA’s data governance and data incident management response process.

* Inspirational leader who can set and implement the data strategy to support FCIIA in building next generation financial crime capabilities.
* Exercise strong stakeholder skills when you liaise with teams across Group Financial Crime Prevention, Technology and Group Data Management Office to bring coherent assessment and delivery plans together and managing dependencies.
* A strong communicator establishing clear roles & responsibilities across the full Nordea organisation to secure accountability and responsibility throughout the Bank.
* Strong interpersonal skills, as well as strong verbal/written communication skills. Fluency in English – both written and verbal communication.

Your experience and background:  
* You will be an experienced people leader with excellent stakeholder management skills and a proven track record in providing business value.
* You have defined and delivered large scale data strategies across financial or technology industries with a strong understanding of the latest Data related technologies and best practices.
* You have extensive experience in data, understanding of complex IT infrastructures and working with cross functional teams.
* Demonstrable understanding of a data management framework, governance and operating models, especially for payments and customer data which is key for Financial Crime Prevention.
* Experience in Financial Crime Prevention is strongly preferred.
