Do you want to play a key role in supporting the digital transformation and new business models of Sandvik? We’re looking for an agile and engaging leader to become our Head of Data Matrix at Tool Flow Solutions.

Our newly established Tool Flow Solutions division, part of Sandvik Machining Solutions (SMS), comprises around 150 employees and two brands: CRIBWISE and TDM Systems. Your mission
In this position you manage and coordinate our Data Matrix program, which is a strategic initiative involving all divisions within Sandvik Machining Solutions. The objective is to develop and scale up our unique digital tool identification technology, and to support the successful customer adoption of applications using the Data Matrix. You direct the development and operations, focusing on software and supporting platforms, but also engaging in the development of the data standardization and choice of hardware required for the application. This also includes the developing the customer value propositions and new business models in cooperation with our divisions and selected customers.
You build governance structures to direct stakeholder and user interests and lead the Data Matrix management team of division representatives. You help to create the vision and business commitment for the Data Matrix, develop roadmaps and actively champion execution, leading to a successfully released and reliably operating product in the market. With the goal of establishing the Data Matrix as industry standard, you interact with partners and competitors.
Included in your mission is to:
Manage the portfolio of use cases – ensuring alignment with priorities, requirements and objectives.
Explore opportunities for innovation and improvement and maintain a view of the market situation to ensure offerings are competitive.
Organize and manage user feedback – facilitating effective communication channels between users, stakeholders, and the development team.
Create clear ownership and accountability by facilitating the necessary buy-in, commitment and adoption by SMS’s business divisions.
Prepare and manage the budget of the program.
Serve as subject matter expert and front-line support on the features and benefits of the product.

You report to the President of Tool Flow Solutions. The location for this role is flexible globally, with limited international travel required.
Your background and character
We’re looking for someone with at least a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience. You have several years of previous experience as responsible for bringing software products to the market and of managing software-based projects. You’re familiar with agile methodologies, software development and leading agile teams. You have a proven track record in managing and prioritizing multiple tasks and stakeholders simultaneously. With your experience of the machining and cutting tool business, you understand what matters to our customers in the industry. Acting in a global environment calls for fluency in both verbal and written English.
We truly value your personality, and to be successful in this role you need to have excellent communication skills to effectively obtain and represent the interests of stakeholders and users, and to concretely describe long-term visions as well as business cases and daily progress and challenges. You’re energetic and curious of nature and continuously search for new opportunities and innovations in all areas. As a strong and visionary leader, you can open new paths for how digital offerings are developed and brought to market. You’re good at engaging your stakeholders and managing change. With good empathy, you understand the voice of the user and constantly keep the customers’ benefit foremost in focus.
