The Opportunity – Head of Defence:
We are on the way of a transformation in our Defence division, aiming to elevate our business model to unprecedented heights. As the Head of Defence, you'll be the driving force behind Scania’s Defence business, supported by a cross-functional team spanning purchasing, R&D, services, and controlling. You also manage the Defence sales team within your home unit at Sales & Marketing.

Your Impact areas:
- Leadership: Guide a talented cross-functional management team, directing our global sales activities in the Defence sector.
- Strategy Development: Collaborate with Scania subsidiaries worldwide to foster relationships with Ministries of Defence and tailor product roadmaps to meet diverse market needs, actively seeking to capitalize on the existing Defence product portfolio.
- Business Growth: Play a key role in expanding our Defence sector’s volume and profitability, ensuring compliance with Export Control and internal policies.
- Performance Management: The new cross functional team is now in place but the performance management and governance structure will need to be developed in close cooperation with controlling. The Defence business is highly complex but delivery vs. set targets will be crucial.

Your profile:
- Experienced Leader: Demonstrated ability in international business leadership, particularly in high-stakes environments. You know that it takes a team to succeed and have a track record of building strong teams and driving change.
- Excellent communicator: In this role you will interact with a wide network within Scania HQ, Business Units, and Defence Authorities from all over the world. It is thus essential that you are a skilled communicator, and that you have the ability to build and manage relationships.
- Strategically Minded: Exceptional ability to balance customer orientation with a structured, creative approach.
- Qualified Professional: An academic degree in engineering, business, or a related field. Prior experience in Defence and knowledge of the heavy transport sector are highly meriting.
