Job duties
The number of large expansion and implementation projects within the entire Business Area creates a need for a new department within Technology which will focus on developing senior Project Managers with the aim of leading these larger expansion projects (Construction phase) and implementation of new technology. This is an important step to get closer collaboration with the Mines (Business Units). The Project Office will be able to accommodate project managers from the different Business Units, if such agreements are made.
The Project office will:
Visualize and suggest project prioritization within the Business Area Mines and find suitable project manager for the projects. Shared resource allocation (managing peaks and troughs) will create more flexibility between project managers and Business Units.
Create a department for recruiting senior project managers for larger expansion projects.
The work within the projects is carried out in close dialogue with the Business units. Good knowledge of the needs of the business is important in this position, which is why it is important to build strong relationships with each Business unit. Travel is included in the job, including trips to Ireland and Finland. The position is full-time permanent employment with stationing in Boliden.

We are looking for an experienced manager and leader who is business oriented with a focus on support and development of our production units. To succeed in the role, you are positive, initiative-taking, responsive and have a personality characterized by integrity and like to develop the department's employees. Education and qualifications:
Civil engineering degree or equivalent knowledge acquired in other ways. You must have practical experience from corresponding tasks as well as experience of leading industrial projects in the construction phase. We would like you to have good experience in project management. Good knowledge of Swedish and English in speech and writing is a requirement, knowledge of Finnish is an advantage. Driving license is a requirement.

In the role of common function, Technology has a supporting function as well as a developing function to the operational units within Boliden Mines. The staff function has a mission to ensure that the methods and techniques used in the Boliden Mines comply with Boliden's standards. It also includes formulating the strategic direction for R&D and productivity for Boliden Mines. The technology department is an important link in Boliden mines' recruitment and development of engineers and managers.
