Job Summary:
Solution Area Packet Core (SA PC) is responsible for Ericsson´s industry leading Packet Core portfolio and solutions and is the foundation for Ericsson’s technology leadership. PDU Packet Core is focused on securing our ongoing market leadership in Packet Core domain, taking a leadership position in 5G, and continuing to invest for sustainable technology leadership within a highly competitive market. Reporting to the Head of Product Development Unit Packet Core (PDU PC), you will be responsible for leading our Development Group User Plane.
The Development Group User Plane is the global responsible for feature development in User Plane area covering the complete lifecycle of the associated products. As the Head of the Development Group, you will also have a full product responsibility for the EPG product as well as WMG. You will be accountable for the product quality and performance and are expected to set a high bar and challenge yourself and organization for continuous improvements.

Job Responsibilities:
You will lead a global team of software developers, consisting of own employees, as well as suppliers and consultants developing functionality in User Plane area. You will be expected to relentlessly pursue quality and on time deliveries.
You will work closely with other Development Groups within PDU PC to achieve high quality product deliveries.
You will have Design ownership for the EPG, as well as WMG product. As a Design owner you will be expected to drive quality, performance and serviceability requirements of the product. In addition, you will ensure that all aspects of product development are secured prior to product release.
You will be the PDU face representing the product in the eyes of the customer and will proactively work with Market Areas to ensure smooth deployments.
You will be responsible for developing, managing, and executing a global site strategy in line with the overall PDU PC site strategy. This also includes ensuring the overall competence, resource strategy, leadership and viability of the site including partners.


Development Group User Plane is responsible for key functions listed below:
Responsible for the software development of features from F1 to FG for product areas/subsystems under its responsibility
Responsible for delivering features with the right quality against committed delivery dates.
Responsible for continuously identifying and driving improvements in all dimensions impacting quality, predictability, and efficiency
Responsible for addressing corrective and preventive actions arising from Internal and Customer TRs
Responsible for Life-Cycle Management of the product areas/subsystems under its responsibility.
Responsible for competence development, culture, site strategy and right-balance of capability – within given frames and in line with the rest of the PDU (and Ericsson).
Responsible to co-operate in an efficient way with other DGs and functions in the PDU, to enable efficient and profitable delivery of PC Products and solutions to the market.
Ensure the right level of documentation, troubleshooting ability, serviceability and maintainability is provided in the area/sub system of responsibility


Qualifications & Skills Requirements:
Demonstrated hunger to deliver what the customer needs when they need it.
Strong product development background with demonstrated passion for SW development and especially the development “craft”.
Interest and good understanding of the concepts of Lean and Agile ways of working.
Ability to support line independent program flows.
Background in Packet Core software and Cloud Native SW technologies is desirable.

Strong cultural awareness and experience of leading multi-site organizations or projects

Courageous leadership, providing clear direction and setting appropriate standards of behavior through uncompromising integrity.
