The Purchasing Strategy & Digitalization function within Volvo Group Purchasing is a Centre of Excellence. We are responsible for driving and facilitating the strategic direction of purchasing on behalf of Executive Management Team.
PS&D are, together with relevant line functions, driving efficiency within digitalization, governance, harmonization, group synergies, continuous improvements and digital & IT projects to enable business value. We work proactively with change management and transformation in collaboration with GTP line functions.
Head of Purchasing Strategy & Digitalization is also hosting Volvo Group Purchasing India organization on behalf of CPO of Volvo Group & Head of GTP
Who are you?


We are gearing up our digitalization ambitions in purchasing. The ultimate target for this team is to secure digital products that is supporting our strategic and operational ambitions over time.

You are a senior leader with a proven record of leading teams that are delivering digital products to achieve transformation. You speak the language of Digital & IT organizations as well as understand the needs of a purchasing organization.
The position requires great skills in terms of communication and collaboration.
You are ambitious and you make organizations successful in digital transformation.
Being part of management team Purchasing Strategy & Digitalization (PS&D), you are a team player with an ability to understand the strategic roadmap of Volvo Group Purchasing. This is important as you will represent our function in a Volvo Group Purchasing business management team.
As a person you are positive and enjoy the challenges that a transformation means. Proactiveness is an absolute must.


This position is reporting to the Head of Purchasing Strategy & Digitalization.


Main activities & Responsibility
Plan and anchor digital product roadmaps together with Volvo Group purchasing stakeholders and the Digital & IT community within Volvo Group
Your lead and develop a team of product owners where you will have direct reports in Europe (France & Sweden) and functional reports in other parts of the world (India, US and China primarily)
You are functionally responsible for the Volvo Group Purchasing Digital factory output (main focus is efficiency and analytics tools supporting the purchasing function)
You will represent Volvo Group Purchasing in relevant x-functional decision forum


Qualifications
You have good knowledge of what it means to develop and launch digital products over time
You have a strategic mindset and the ability to translate a vision into crisp digital product needs
Excellent decision-making skills, taking into account risks and opportunities, with an ownership mindset
Excellent communication skills (both written and spoken)
You have a background from the digital & IT world or you have had experience from the requester side of developing digital products
You have a global mindset and you see diversity as a strength
You see change as an opportunity
Excellent interpersonal & networking skills – you are a true connector working in eco-systems
Positive mindset and strong energy to contribute to the success of the Volvo Group
Ability to build and develop a high performing team around common objectives
You probably have a MSc in the area of Digitalization / IT and/or Business Administration
Advanced English skills
At least +5 years of successful leadership experience
