Volvo Energy is our newest business area with the overarching purpose of supporting the Volvo Group’s transformation ambitions within electrification, sustainability, circularity, complete service offer, profitable growth and resilience.

Within Volvo Energy Sales and Services we are, among others, responsible for developing products and services based on 2nd life batteries after their usage in the first application has ended. We believe we will have opportunities to develop both our own products, as well as become a supplier of products or subsystems to third party. The main product would be Energy Storage Solutions (ESS) and surrounding services connected to Energy Management Systems.

We are looking for a new colleague to join our team as Head of Direct Sales - Volvo Energy

You will be given a unique opportunity to shape and drive the early development of this new business for Volvo Group, together with the leadership team and a set of skilled and committed colleagues. We will work on solutions that will drive economically viable circularity and take us to a sustainable future.
Your role will be to develop a “take to market” strategy and roadmap for the Volvo Branded products and Energy solutions. You will build up our product and services offering, define the sales process, establish a customer base and be fully responsible for the P&L of your area of responsibility.

You will make a difference

Your starting point will be to:

Establish a Volvo Branded Energy Storage Solution with its connected services.
Define the market segmentation, outlook and opportunities, targeted customer base, price range and profitability, sales channels etc.
Create a sales strategy and roadmap with a profitable sustainable business model for ESS.
Together with colleagues define the priorities of 2nd life batteries.
Test the business model in applicable demos.
For applicable partnerships and as relevant – participate in, assume leadership of and/or create new ones.

Qualifications likely required to be successful
University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Electrical Engineering, industrial engineering, or equivalent.
Significant commercial experience with documented results/achievements
Experience of Energy Storage Solutions or battery systems.
Excellent knowledge in building frameworks (process, methods, strategies, plans) and leveraging intrapreneurial skills in large, cross-functional organizations.
Fluent in English, written and spoken.
