Head of Energy Solutions

The Energy Solutions department is one of E.ON Nordics strategic growth areas, build on sustainable, decentralized and digital energy solutions. Heat & cooling based local energy concepts is in the core with solar, storage, charging, digital optimization, steering and balancing additions creates the holistic local energy system. We are searching for a new colleague in the role as Head of Energy Solutions, who will get the opportunity to build up something new and make a cultural transformation against sustainable solutions.

About the position

As Head of Energy Solutions, you will have the overall responsibility to create business growth through integrated energy solutions sales, project delivery and product development. Key segment includes cities, municipalities, real estate, property developers and industries.

One of E.ONs values is to always put the customer first, and in this role this is more than a value, you need to really live by it, inspire others and adapt to the customer’s needs.

You will have the overall responsibility to secure delivery and management of integrated solutions which include coordination of entrepreneurs, project management and HSE responsibility. To be able to handle the different angles within this role, we think it’s easy for you to work strategic and with a focus on finance, engineering, and sustainability.

E. ON is a global company and with that comes close collaboration with our colleagues abroad. You will be the first point of contact to Global sales units, responsible for development and internationally scale digital products and propositions within local energy systems. To make this collaboration work, you must be good at building strong and lasting relationships and use to different cultures and way of work.

To achieve the goals set for the department, you will have to be curious and seek knowledge and new trends of the market, customers, and methods. You will do this together with your 3 teams of 30 employees who are very engaged, and business driven. To lead the team to success, you have a value-based leadership with drive to inspire and motivate.

About the candidate

To be successful in the role you have an experience of market- and business development, as well as experience in B2B solutions sales. You also have a performance-orientation and ability to drive change and challenge status quo. We also see that you have significant financial understanding and commercial experience with experience of owning the PnL.

Since you will be leading a team of 30 employees, we see that you need to have several years of leadership and change management experience. You lead with a clear and committed leadership with strength to empower the team to deliver great results and have a clear focus on feedback to continuously make the team grow.

You will report to Michel Thomas, Head of City Quarter Solutions Nordics and be a part of his management team. Michel will support you and give you the mandate to drive the business towards success. In return he expects that you take initiatives, responsibility, is performance driven and passionate about your work. Michel is a leader that’s passionate, engaged driven, available, and flexible and open for new ideas.
