In our department, Product Regulation & Compliance, we work with stakeholders both within and outside Volvo Cars and collaborate with international technical service partners, Volvo colleagues and authority representatives on a daily basis. What you’ll do 

The team Pre Certification & OBD is responsible for the verification before certification regarding Range, Energy Efficiency, Emissions, CO2 and OBD, as well as Legal Analysis of Emissions and OBD. The group consists of 18 dedicated engineers in four agile teams. The legal analysts interpret and communicate legal requirements, discuss technical solutions with authorities world-wide, lead the delivery of the certification documentation, and participate in working groups for new standards and legislation development. The pre-certification engineers perform pre-homologation for all markets and all projects. They plan and coordinate verification activities, perform measurements in vehicle and rig, analyse, summarize and draw conclusions of the results, and also performs legal verification of OBD functions in vehicle after start of production.

We are now seeking a committed and collaborative colleague, who wants to join us with the primary responsibility to inspire and lead a group towards new challenges ahead. You will be responsible to deliver on our long-term strategies by providing the right competence, both by developing existing competence and by recruiting highly skilled individuals. You will drive the work towards a good working environment and help group members to set the right priorities. Also, you will contribute with a strong sense of business acumen in management forums as well in co-operations with fellow colleagues and team members. 

You and your skills

We are looking for a true leader with strong communication skills that create clarity and an open and trusting environment. You drive results with a structured approach and have a proven ability to build and lead successful teams.  

To be successful in this role you must be a skilled people manager with extensive leadership experience. You have an outstanding capability to engage with different stakeholders in cross-functional collaboration as well as a well-developed ability to understand and communicate purpose and business objectives. 

You have a university degree within Engineering or equivalent and experience from working with pre-homologation, OBD, emissions or similar. You are fluent in Swedish and English, both oral and written.
