About this opportunity
Reporting to the Head of ERS Systemization and Architecture, the Head of Architecture and Release will drive the ERS (Ericsson Radio System) systemization and architecture including the solutions and source requirements, be accountable for the monthly release and secure excellent governance of the products and products solutions from an ERS perspective. Ericsson Radio System (ERS) cover broad portfolio offering including Radio, RAN Compute, RAN SW, Cloud Management, Transport, Site Solutions, Antennas etc.
The responsibilities require a tight co-operation with all System organizations across BNEW R&D, PEUs within EU HW, Integrated RAN and BNEW Product line as well as working closely with EU Cloud RAN, Technology & Strategy in BNEW R&D.
What you will do
* As a member of the ERS Systemization and Architecture unit leadership team, define and complete the set strategy and priorities.
* Create an environment that empowers and motivates people and teams through coaching and energy, clear expectations and support
* Lead and encourage a team of senior engineers to secure world-recognized excellence to ensure Ericsson stays Technology leader in the area
* Secure ERS frequent releases
* Ensure the system needed work for Source System requirements with own capability as well via collaboration with other system organizations.
* Join, drive and secure studies for ERS architecture and requirements for all RAN generations, including 6G.
* Be an active part in ERS Architecture evolution with strong product and portfolio focus supporting our business strategies
* Actively drive or participate in process and tools forums
* Communicate the units and company’s goals and strategies cross the different organization
* Play a key role in driving timely decisions and anchoring cross EUs, PEUs and Product line for ERS HW Applied and Source System
* Support the team with a critical thinking and understanding of E2E flow and organizational aspects driving business and technology needs
* Enable a strong, inclusive environment that never let organizational boarders be a hinder but let collaboration drives technology and business excellence

You will bring
* Strong personal drive and courageous and eager to contribute where and when possible, both inside and outside your formal framework of responsibilities
* Excellent understanding of ERS Architecture including system design for both SW and HW
* Strong view how the commercial-, and product structures and information flow are handled today at Ericsson.
* Strong transparent communicator and great teammate
* Master of Science or equivalent experience and a recent successful track record in R&D Line Management / other leadership position.
* Experience in early phases and technology driven work
* Experience of Ericsson product and document handling and Experience of Release handling
* Ability to lead in a sophisticated cross portfolio and cross stakeholder environment
* Strategic and big picture thinking, with the ability to focus on delivering on your contribution to Network R&D today and into the future
