Job Overview
Ethics and Compliance has vital role in enabling and supporting Getinge and its leaders in managing conduct risk and how business is done, creating a business environment which embed responsibility, personal accountability, integrity, ethics, and compliance into the day to day operations and ensuring better control and predictability for Getinge business on a global scale.
The Head of Ethics & Compliance, MEA & CEE will serve as the leader of the company’s Europe Ethics & Compliance function. This regional E&C role includes responsibility, in alignment with respective global program owner in the E&C team, for implementing the ethics & compliance programs launched in Getinge group, presently addressing the areas of responsible leadership, anti-trust / fair competition, anti-bribery and corruption (ABC), anti-money laundering (AML), privacy, trade compliance and human rights. The position involves a particular focus on healthcare compliance subject matter and compliance program development in the region.
The individual will provide ethics & compliance support to the company’s sales, marketing, and manufacturing businesses in the region, and educate and coordinate employees with respect to the company’s ethics & compliance programs, rules, and responsibilities. Close collaboration with the Legal team in MEA and CEE is expected.
Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties
Lead and drive the implementation and management of Getinge’s compliance programs in MEA and CEE. Establish a long-term vision for the regional Ethics & Compliance programs and organization, including how to adapt it to our changing business and risks.
Key responsibilities include: (i) providing proactive Ethics & Compliance support to the business; (ii) developing and implementing Ethics & Compliance policies, procedures, and processes; (iii) developing and delivering relevant and timely Ethics & Compliance training and education to stakeholders, including participation in national and regional sales meetings, conventions, new hire orientations, etc.; (iv) establishing and evaluating metrics to identify trends; and (v) supporting business initiatives and objectives.
Ensure local implementation of Global Ethics & Compliance initiatives. Participate in and support Global Ethics & Compliance program initiatives and serve as a member of the Global Ethics & Compliance team. Assist the Global Internal Investigations function regarding local matters.
Work with Internal Audit and follow-up on conduct risk assessments and monitoring to ensure that the Ethics & Compliance program is well designed, applied in good faith, and effective in practice. Support and/or lead the implementation of related remediation to closure.
Understand, implement, and supervise any national transparency reporting requirements for the MEA and CEE countries.
Advocate responsible leadership within MEA and CEE.
Minimum Requirements
Master of Law, LL.M, M.Sc. or other relevant academic degree
Min 7 + years of relevant E&C work experience in a global setting
Experience from Medtech industry is preferred
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Demonstrated experience building programs, executing large projects, and building bridges across stakeholder groups. Proactive and solution oriented. Holistic thinking with ability to prioritize. skill
Analytical and strategic mind.
Must possess strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to engage, inspire and influence others. Demonstrates good judgment and the ability to communicate well. Ability to interact with diverse audiences and to work cross-functionally.
Must possess strong presentation skills – in development and delivery.
