Head of Finance, Global Bus Purchasing, Volvo Buses

solutions of the future. Do you want to play an important role in our continuous journey? We are now looking for our next talented Head of Finance for our Global Bus Purchasing organization!
GBP (Global Bus Purchasing) is a Global function that consist of approx. 130 employees in four countries (Canada, Poland, Mexico, and Sweden).
We have the responsibility to source suppliers that delivers material at the right cost, quality and technology at the right time to the entire Volvo Buses organization. We work cross-functionally as well as together with GTP (Global Trucks Purchasing).
As Head of Finance you will report to the SVP of GBP and is part of the global purchasing management team (PMT). Also, you will be an active member of the VBC Finance Council chaired by the CFO of Volvo Buses.
In this role you will functionally lead the finance and controlling activities for GBP, which means interacting with different countries, cultures and areas. You will have one Business Controller reporting to you, located in Gothenburg. You will also coordinate the Business Office area for GBP.
Your main tasks will be:
Plan, prepare and consolidate financial reports – including analysis of gaps etc.
Regionally and globally support in budget preparations
Lead the follow-up of our suppliers financial risks
Follow up of measurement of performance KPI’s (not only financial numbers)
Support in Global Investment Council for Volvo Buses
Support in Product cost forecasting and development process
Prepare material / reports for various Sr. Management / executive report outs
You will be a member at the Volvo Buses Sourcing table – to secure finance approval, you will also support in various internal / external audits and secure compliance within reporting and finance scope. As part of or Lean journey you will identify improvement areas in financial processes and drive improvement initiatives.
Who are we looking for?
To be successful in this role we see that you have a university degree within the finance/economics area with an extensive experience from the finance and business control area. You have the ability to make complexity easy to understand and communicate this in a clear way to your stakeholders at different levels in the organization. You have a business mindset and like to work in a support function with the line organization. It is a merit if you have experience from working in and /or close within the purchasing area.
In a constant changing environment it is important that you feel comfortable with managing ambiguity and have the ability to structure your work. You like to work through others in a team, but have no problem by making operational work yourself. We are working in a global context so English is a requirement.
