Head of Finance - Sandvik Manufacturing Solutions

Sandvik Manufacturing Solutions (SMF) is a business area segment with around 600 employees worldwide, incorporating the Additive Manufacturing, Metrology and Design & Planning Automation Divisions. SMF develops offers to help customers become even more productive and sustainable by providing software and additive solutions from component design to quality verification. Our ambition is to develop and acquire companies that complement our strong machining solutions offer (managed by our sister business area segment Sandvik Machining Solutions – SMS) to be able to expand, strengthen and find new business opportunities to grow our total business portfolio. We act in a fast paced, software technology and business driven environment, and our aim is to become a world leader within our segment.
Your mission
Joining us in this central position, you work closely with our president as you support and advise us towards strategic and successful financial operations and decision making. You have a key role in analyzing, reporting, consolidating and forecasting the results of our organization, and you provide both ad hoc and proactive analyses related to results, costs and KPI development. To prepare investment business cases and contribute with your financial knowledge in various change and development projects are other important parts of your job. You look at financial trends and possible impacts to the business and track market development - including automation and technical improvements of financial processes - to make sure we stay on top of our game. As part of our growth ambition includes mergers and acquisitions (M&As), you’re highly involved in these processes and the following integration of acquired companies.
Acting in a global business environment with diverse cultural and economic challenges, you’re the number one promoter of excellent collaborations. For us, this means working closely with our stakeholders and the wider organization, and by doing so, you bring true understanding of numbers, figures, details.
You report directly to the President of Sandvik Manufacturing Solutions (SMF) and are a valued member of SMF Management team. You’ll also be a part of the Finance Management Team for the Sandvik Group. The location for this position is preferably at our new office site in Stockholm – a place for mixing tech innovation with the core of machining - and international travel is included in your job.
Your background
We’re looking for an experienced business partner who understands what it takes to lead financial operations in a software setting, closely connected to manufacturing. Your career includes similar positions and you have a strong ability to drive business from results and balance sheets and to generate economic value. You effortlessly collaborate with different stakeholders in large international organizations and use a language that is easily understood and brings everyone on board. A relevant finance or business degree is necessary to be successful in this role, and you must also communicate fluently in English, both in speaking and writing. Further, your expertise and involvement in M&As and having a solid understanding of business models for software businesses are key ingredients for our success.

Your communication style is transparent and inspiring, and you leave a positive impact as you create strong collaborations and build trust in your relations.
