Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses, and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions. Also, Finance at Scania is transforming and has embarked on a journey with our Finance 2025 strategy.

We are looking for the Head of Financial Control for the industrial part of Scania. Operations consist of Research & Development, Purchasing, Production & Logistics, Sales & Marketing, support units, and central staff functions as well as several new business ventures with a total of some 35 000+ employees. JCI is responsible for financial reporting, financial planning, and follow-up of performance for the operations as well as applying and developing the financial model for the operations. Deliveries include financial reports, analyses, and performance evaluations to Corporate Control, Scania’s CFO, and the Executive Board. During the next few years, Scania plans to introduce new systems solutions for finance and JCI will take an active part in this transformation. The location for this position is at Scania’s head office in Södertälje.

Job summary

Your work task will include leading and planning the activities for JCI within the following responsibility areas:


• Period and yearly financial closings
• Projections and estimates
• Financial presentations and performance evaluations
• Analyses and follow-up of key areas
• Projects and investigations within financial reporting and controlling
• Continues development of reporting, follow-up, and processes including evaluation of the industrial financial model
• Active participation in the Finance Core project aimed at defining business demand and the introduction of new systems solutions for group reporting

You will lead the group with four direct reports towards established goals. Your leadership is based on Scania’s core values and principles. You actively support your co-workers in their competence development. The position will give a great opportunity to further develop skills in financial reporting and analysis and the business structure and trends within the Scania group and especially the industrial part. The position will expose you to a wide range of people from different parts of Scania and will give you possibilities to further build your network.

Your profile

We are looking for a person with a degree in finance or business with 5+ years’ experience in financial reporting and analyses and preferably from financial planning in an international and industrial setting. An understanding of and interest in financial models is a big plus. We believe that you have a great interest in process development and continuous improvements. It’s a merit if you have knowledge about reporting systems. Since we work in a global environment, you need to be able to communicate in both English and Swedish.

Personal skills

We believe that leadership and development of co-workers are of great interest to you. At the same time, you are structured, analytical, and have problem-solving skills. You can easily communicate and make “numbers talk”. You are used to working towards goals and driving change projects and have a high delivery capacity. As a manager, you work with your team to motivate and develop an efficient team. You are both service-minded and solution-oriented and have social skills to interact with internal and external contacts.
