We need clear strategies, innovative thinking and passionate leaders to raise the bar even higher in our global sales operations. Are you the leader we’re searching for? A commercial, inspiring and confident people manager with a broad perspective, a flexible approach and an appetite for new manufacturing technologies. We offer you a great chance to make an impact in our growing business, in an inclusive setting and with one of the strongest industrial companies in the world. A great career opportunity to say the least!

About the job
With excellent skills in sales management, you shape and accelerate our global sales strategy. You play a key role in our future growth, as you unlock significant business value by taking an active lead in sales related business activities, focusing on value based selling and constantly searching for new opportunities.

Account Management and business development are big parts of your mission, and you coordinate networks to collect insights and understand the market and our customers’ needs, and challenges. By doing so, you ensure that our offering is well aligned with solutions to meet the current and future demands within our metal powders business, and that we remain the partner of choice. You strategically look at forecasts, trends and improvements and you work closely with your sales team, as well as other key stakeholders in the wider business, to increase performance in our sales operations. Additionally, you ensure compliance with trade and legal requirements applicable for our field - both internally and externally - and you present regular business updates and proactive recommendations to our senior management.

You lead, inspire and develop our global sales team as you foster a collaborative, forward-thinking and customer centric organization. You also become a valued member of the division management team and the powder business management team, with a high exposure and close cooperation with other parts of the Sandvik Group. The location for this position is flexible and global travel is a natural part of the role.

About you
You come with a strong background in global B2B sales and business development. Concrete experience, and an established network within advanced metal powders or similar markets is a strong advantage. Your competences include Value Based Selling as well as Smart Partnership and Solutions Sales, and you’re known for identifying opportunities and new business models and for delivering great business results. As a true leader with a number of years’ in people management, you have a passion for developing and mentoring both individuals and teams to perform at their very best, while you easily navigate in decentralized and cross-functional environments with many various stakeholders.

Additionally, you need:
A relevant business, finance or engineering degree, where an MBA is advantageous
Skills in strategic and operational planning, compliance matters and financial management
Successful experience from negotiations of commercial terms and conditions with industrial customers
Experience from Account and Sales Management
Excellent communication skills in English

You’re a passionate achiever with excellent judgement and a strong ability to create engagement and influencing others. You easily know how to manage and interact with stakeholders, partners and customers and you keep your cool when handling priorities and solving problems. Your strong business acumen enables you to seize opportunities and making informed decisions, and it also allows you to challenge the organization and status quo when you find it necessary. With a knack for development, a multi-tasking nature and an eagerness to make things happen on the big scale, you are the perfect fit for this job!

About us
Additive Manufacturing is described as one of the most important and disruptive technologies to have emerged in recent years. It makes components lighter, stronger and more flexible than ever before – and enables previously impossible designs. It reinvents logistics and minimizes waste, reducing the need for both transports and warehousing. True environmental advantages!

With more than 150 years in the metal industry, few understand the secrets of Additive Manufacturing like Sandvik. Metallurgy runs through every step of AM and it also happens to be our specialty and DNA. As world-leading manufacturers of gas-atomized AM-powders and leading experts in post processing methods, such as heat treatment and machining, Sandvik masters every step of the Additive Manufacturing value chain. In other words, we are in a unique position to lead the additive transformation.

For us, success is a team effort. We value diversity and are committed to creating a fair and inclusive culture where people can be themselves and reach their full potential. So, we invest in supporting each other, learning together and celebrating our differences.
