Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

Our current manager for Group Financial reporting will retire early spring 2021, why we now are looking for a successor with great interest in group accounting and leadership. You will become manager for a team of seven people, where you report to Head of Group Reporting and Control. The location for this position is at Scania’s head office in Södertälje.

 

Group Financial Reporting Operational is a department within Corporate Control, which is responsible for group accounting, consolidation and follow-up of the Scania group. Deliveries from the department include reports and analysis of financial performance of the Scania group to Scania’s CFO and executive board as well as reporting to the parent company Traton AG and financial reports to the market. This mission demands qualitative, timely and relevant financial information.

 

The position will give a great opportunity to understand the reporting and business structure within the Scania group. The position enables to create a good network including a broad contact field within Scania, especially within Corporate Control, and Traton/Volkswagen.

 

Job summary

As Head of Group Financial Reporting you will lead and plan the work within the group’s responsibility. Among others the assignment consist,


• secure that there are accurate processes, continuous follow-up and improvement
• coach the team in their tasks and to some extent take part in the operative work
• lead the team members to goals out of the Scania core values and common principles as well as guide them in their own competence development

Main responsibility areas for the group are:


• Group reporting and consolidation process in HFM
• Scania Management and Board Reports
• Scania group Interim and Annual Reports (financial part)
• Accounting specialist IFRS and Scania Financial Reporting Guidelines
• External audit process
• Follow-up and analysis of reporting from the Scania entities in period closings, projections and year-end reporting
• Areas of specific group accounting expertise, such as

 

Both Oracle Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and SAP BCS (the Volkswagen application VoKUs) are used for reporting and consolidation.

 

Furthermore are participation in projects and work groups, ad hoc assignments and work with continuous improvements a major part of the job.

 

Your profile

You should have a university degree in finance or business. You have worked with group reporting and group accounting a number of years and most of all you have a great interest in group accounting from a practical, analytical and system solution perspective. It is a merit if you have experience from an international group and have worked according to IFRS. You are used to work with financial applications, mainly group accounting applications, and an experienced Excel and PowerPoint user. Since we work in a global environment, you need to be able to communicate in both English and Swedish. It is preferred that you already have management experience.

 

Personal skills

You take responsibility, are structured and accurate. You are analytical as a person and have high problem solving skills. Further, you are good at translating needs to concrete goals and deliverables concerning running work as well as improvement work. Good communication skills are also asked for. As manager you are a perceptive leader with insight in what is needed to motivate team members and develop an efficient team.
