The Group Internal Control function aims to improve the control environment and internal controls within the organization. This is achieved by improving the effectiveness and efficiency of financial operations and processes, increasing the reliability of financial reporting and reducing the number of unexpected changes or misstatements. To this team, we are now looking for a Head of Internal Control.
Job summary
As Head of Group Internal Control, you ensure that internal control mechanisms are designed, implemented and monitored and that financial processes are in place. You also make sure project findings are executed and managed to a high standard and in line with our policy and procedures, and you provide assistance in the development and enhancement of the Global Internal Control Framework. As the overall leader of the implementation team, you take lead in tactical and strategic discussions pertaining to the rollout of internal controls. Involvement in daily operational activities can be necessary if critical issue resolution is needed.
Other responsibilities included in your job are to hold project managers accountable for managing and developing internal controls roll-out and ensuring that goals are achieved. You ensure the development of project teams, relationships with key stakeholders across the company and you understand issues and identify areas for improvement of the organization. You are the key point of contact in the planning, implementation and ongoing support of internal controls rollout, and you also provide internal support and subject-matter expertise.
In this position, you report to the CFO of Sandvik Group. You are located in Stockholm and international travel is a natural part of this position.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a degree in finance and extensive experience from internal controls, project management for large projects and implementation of processes of internal controls in larger organizations. You have previous experience from leading people and from stakeholder management. As we operate in a global organization, you must have excellent English skills, both in speaking and in writing.

Being self-motivated and taking new initiatives comes naturally to you, as does dealing with unexpected issues. You are business focused and pragmatic and with a proactive approach, you interact with others in a forthright way to make things happen and find the best solutions. As a strong communicator, you also know how to handle and influence our many stakeholders and you create and maintain trusting relations that add value to the business.
