Head of HR Project Management Office

Head of HR Project Management Office

Arbetsbeskrivning

Sandvik is a company that has advanced, changed and made history for over 150 years. We’re forward thinkers, driven by our passion to continuously innovate smarter solutions and enable important shifts. In 2020, the Group had approximately 37,000 employees and revenues of about 86 billion SEK in more than 160 countries within continuing operations. One of our key success factors is our brilliant people – the ones who brought us to the market-leading positions we hold today. To continue attracting, engaging and developing top talents in the best possible way for our business, we’re now making a move towards an even more employee-centric and agile approach.
World class execution, management, and coordination of projects is vital to get where we want, and we’re now looking for a Head of HR Project Management Office (PMO) to develop and drive this important area within our HR organization in a new role. Are you ready to embark on an exciting career where you get the chance to work together with brilliant minds and shape best practices in an international arena?
About the job
Your overall mission in this role is to ensure uniform decision-making, the right outcome, and progress in our common project portfolio through alignment between our different projects and organizations. As the role is new, you’ll set structures and processes, and work hands-on to make sure things happen. You support the Sandvik HR management with coordination of common projects and ensure that the PMO framework and templates are followed – which you define and evolve. You guide individual projects and managers in usage of templates and adherence to checkpoints, and create an understanding of status, linkages and dependencies between projects, as well as an overview of where prioritisation of time and effort is needed.
To create transparency, you visualize project status, risks, and issues, as well as coordinate common checkpoints across project lifecycles. You also orchestrate our yearly planning process and report project status to the Sandvik HR Management. Through this, you facilitate an effective flow of information within our HR Collaboration Model and a comprehensive and consolidated overview of all common projects.
You report to, and act in close collaboration with our Head of Operational Excellence. The location for this role is at our headquarters in central Stockholm or any of our other Swedish sites, and some travel is included.
About you
We’re looking for an experienced project manager with knowledge and an interest in modern tools and ways of working, and a will to take on a broader, more coordinating role. You’re used to navigating in a decentralized organization with cross-functional collaborations and close contact with managers and HR leaders, and you’re comfortable in presenting to stakeholders on all levels including Executive Management. We expect an interest in new digital solutions and advanced knowledge of Office 365 as a natural tool for digital collaboration. As we act in a global setting, you must be fluent in English, verbally and in writing.
Business acumen and thoroughness is in your nature – you’re structured, self-driven and independent yet a team player, and you have the flexibility to dive into highly varying projects. In all of your work, you rely on strong stakeholder management and great collaborations, and you empower our organization by getting people and stakeholders onboard towards an efficient way of working. With an agile and proactive mindset, you deliver results, and your positive and inspiring attitude is what makes you so successful.
