The British International School of Stockholm wishes to appoint an experienced Head of IN and Inclusion.
The Head of IN and Inclusion is a member of the Extended Leadership Team and will normally be expected to teach up to a 50% timetable. This role would suit somebody who has already held a leadership role. For an idea of the breadth of the position, please see the Job Description on our website.
The successful candidate will work with the leadership teams at BISS to strategically develop an integrated student support services department of which IN and Inclusion are an integral part.
The successful candidate will have:
• experience of successful middle leadership in a special educational needs role
• an understanding and experience of learning needs across the whole school age range
• experience of leading in an international setting
• proven ability to lead change
• experience of teaching learners with diverse language and learning needs
In addition, applicants should:
• be a fully qualified teacher (UK BEd or PGCE with relevant degree, or hold the equivalent recognised teaching qualifications from other countries)
• have evidence of continued relevant professional development
• be a fluent English speaker
