Are you an entrepreneurial leader with knowledge of applying IoT and data acquisition within the manufacturing industry?

To reach our goals, we believe in supporting each other, learning together and celebrating differences. Learn more about our purpose here: https://youtu.be/CZBci6jD4L8
As we’re standing in front of a shift towards industry 4.0 and connected factories, we’re currently looking for a Head of Industrial IoT. You’ll join an exciting journey at our fast-growing division Design and Planning Automation, part of Sandvik Manufacturing Solutions (SMF). A great opportunity to shape your own role and grow your career while keeping a healthy balance between work and private life.
Where?
Our main hub is a new and modern office located at Gasverket in Stockholm, but we’re flexible and you can work from anywhere as long it meets our security protocol. Some travel is included in this job.
Your mission
You play a central role in taking our division forward by leading a team experimenting with, and designing new connected solutions for the manufacturing industry, and especially the SME segment. Our vision is to combine technology and software to create an incredibly smooth manufacturing chain. This journey includes a lot of freedom for you to experiment and find innovative solutions based on shop floor data, with focus on sustainability and scalability – easy and quick deployment, integration and market introduction. We believe that the transformation will be in steps – from availability insight to condition monitoring and, over time, predictive maintenance. You and your team take solutions from concept to commercialization and also support in targeting M&A opportunities to further accelerate our vision.
To get there, many different competences needs to be included, as well as customers and end-users. You balance this by focusing on your team and their needs, while keeping a transparent and collaborative approach towards our other teams, external suppliers (sensors and software) and test centers – shifting between a helicopter view and hands-on technical focus.
Who you are
Although experience and understanding of the manufacturing industry, sensor systems and data acquisition are very useful in this role, your personality is your most important asset here. With curiosity, transparency, and great communication skills, you confidently influence and build great collaborations between various teams and stakeholders within our complex and growing organization. You have great help by your genuine tech interest, as well as your dynamic, doers’ mentality.
Solid skills within team development combined with a dose of creativity and the ability to listen and understand complex customer problems are also key qualities. Add an understanding of manufacturing software (e.g. PLC, SCADA, CAM), cloud technology, IoT/OT capabilities, and software delivery – and we have a perfect match. We look forward to your application!
