Who we are?

The function of Outbound Logistics covers the planning and operational responsibility for the transportation of finished car logistics, including special transport related activities and ensures the transport of finished vehicles to their required destinations. The Outbound Logistics scope starts at Factory Complete point or point of import and ends at designated delivery points according to the stakeholders requirement.

We are now looking for a Leader of Intercontinental Outbound Logistics and Transportation operations to join our multicultural experienced and highly motivated team. Your expertise and experience can contribute the transformation our company and our processes are going through setting a new standard in the industry. 

You have a drive for lean and flow-oriented solutions resulting in a premium delivery precision and benchmark lead times. The team consists of 10 highly skilled transport specialists located in Gothenburg and in Asia and Americas. You embrace change and can make it happen.

What will you do?

Define and maintain processes and standard operating procedures in line with the overall global strategy of Outbound Logistics.

Lead and operate all intercontinental related transportation of finished vehicles. You work to find the best solutions from a global perspective in cooperation with our engineering department, our yard operations and our EMEA, APAC & Americas teams .

Initiate, plan, prioritize and coordinate all activities performed within the function related to Outbound Logistics requirements. Such as introduction of new suppliers, new networks, new processes, new business models. Pipeline management, wholesale planning activities and support the stakeholder financial targets come natural to you.

Manage and drive actions to improve carrier performance continuously, provide direction, development and leadership to the team members and act as an ambassador for Outbound Logistics and Supply Chain Logistics.

You and your profile

It is important for this role to have leadership skills and documented leadership experience. You have the ability to guide, support and develop the team, as well as to develop and maintain cross-functional networks. You have proven experience within supply chain management and in intercontinental shipping and transportation. We expect you to have a university degree in relevant field and be fluent in English.

You are a strong communicator and have a positive and enthusiastic approach. You are data driven and have a sense for lean and flow-oriented solutions. You are results focused and proactive individual, who likes to work in teams and cross-functionally.
