Head of Internal Communication (flexible location)

We’re now looking for a Head of Internal Communication to ensure that our strategy is understood, supported and executed by our entire organization.

Your mission
You take the overall responsibility for our internal communication, leading a global team who’s aiming to secure an understanding and create engagement and pride around our brand, company strategy and business, while clarifying our company situation and direction. Your team strategically support our management teams with communication plans in matters such as initiatives, changes, business performance where you ensure alignment with our strategy and a consistent communication structure. You also secure a stable crisis communication set up, well aligned with our crisis management plans. By developing your team as a group, as well as each individual, you secure short-term deliveries and long-term abilities. You oversee competence development plans, set clear targets and breakdowns.

You strive towards an integrated approach with our internal and external communication, teaming up with colleagues in brand and PR. With an ear to the ground, you stay updated on trends and changes concerning our brand, internal communication, PR, social media and employer branding space. You embrace new technology and push boundaries when it comes to ways of communicating and utilizing digital channels to keep our frontline position, and you build relations and engage global strategic communication partners as you set the scene for continuous improvement.

You’re a member of both our global Marketing and Communications Management team as well as the Sandvik Coromant Management team and report to the Vice President of Marketing and Communication. The base for this job is truly flexible at any Sandvik Coromant location around the world, and international travel is normally included.

Your profile
We’re looking for someone with a communication, journalism or marketing degree, or equivalent knowledge, combined with relevant experience – including global communications, leadership and team management. You have excellent skills and knowledge in the areas of branding and external and internal change-, crisis- and strategy communication. You need the capability and interest in managing, leading and motivating a virtual and global organization in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written is also a requirement, while knowledge in other languages is advantageous.

Yes, your background is important, but we’re equally interested in your soft skills and personality. With your strategic and holistic view, you’re able to act on both short- and long-term goals. You’re an excellent networker with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and outside partners at all levels. You have good understanding of stakeholder needs, work with a high degree of integrity and know how to handle confidential information. As a manager you’re comfortable with your leadership and are good at coaching and challenging senior managers, as well as team members, in reaching business goals.
