Job summary
You’re heading our IT & Digital Transformation function, consisting of around 30 professionals and experts, and you have a key role in supporting our global program of modernizing and globalizing of our business’ backend processes and applications. Delivering on our Digital and IT strategy, you ensure integration of management and operational IT linked to our globally process oriented organizational setup, and the best mix of in-house resources and strategic external alliances to ensure capacity and balance the demand of our customers. You make sure to bring stable, secure and compliant operations, and at the same time you ensure an agile delivery of new technology in close cooperation with our business and support functions. Our main tech stacks are currently within SAP and Microsoft.
We act in an ever-changing environment with new technologies emerging every day. To stay ahead, you actively monitor advancements and trends, and you identify innovative and efficient solutions that generate a competitive advantage for us. This also means close collaboration with partners, suppliers and stakeholders – across Dormer Pramet and other Sandvik businesses, as well as externally – to optimize the use of modern technology and the strategic benefits connected to it. You aim for a truly global IT & Digital Transformation organization and continue growing the newly created and optimized setting where business and process orientation, team spirit, development and best practices are cornerstones. By connecting people, technology and processes, you deliver on business demand and steer the digital transformation process.
Although the location for this position is flexible, we prefer you to be based at one of our European sites or in Shanghai, China. As we’re a global organization, you may be required to undertake business travel or attend virtual meetings out of core hours.
Profile
We’re looking for a confident and inclusive leader with proven skills in people and performance management and the ability to successfully bring a strategy to life. You have solid experience and knowledge within the domain of IT and Digital Transformation, and you’re truly interested in emerging technologies and agile working methods. Your previous career includes similar roles in a global setting, preferably in a sales and customer focused environment, combined with knowledge from the manufacturing industry. Work experience within the Asian region is also valuable, as we’re focusing on growing our Asian business. You’re experienced in driving transformation and change – naturally within IT, but also by leading other business and customer focused programs. A master’s in Information Technology, Computer Science or another technology field or Business Administration with a major in IT is required, and as we’re present worldwide, you have both cultural awareness and excellent communication skills in English.
As a person, you’re self-motivated, organized and resilient, and you make sure to see things through to the end to accomplish successful results. You mix these characteristics with being a transparent team player – someone who builds trust, communicates clearly, share insights and inspires people. You’re innovative and highly tech-driven, and you challenge us to make smart, timely decisions and look at things from different perspectives. You also present detailed technical information in ways that everyone can grasp. Quite simply, you speak IT and Digital Transformation from a business point of view!
