Head of IT for Santa Maria

Santa Maria, part of family-owned Paulig Group, is all about good taste. This also applies when we are looking for the right people, and now we are seeking a new Head of IT.

The person we are looking for has the willingness to take the responsibilities this position entails, and has all the ingredients needed to succeed with constant changes which companies of this size find themselves in. In your role as Head of IT, you will be responsible for all aspects of IT within your division and at the group level in selected areas. You will be a proactive member of the Paulig Group IT Management Team consisting of all divisional Heads of IT and other key persons.

Paulig Group IT has approximately 40 skilled people with different IT roles and responsibilities. We aim to be a real business partner and add value to the whole group. You will be a key person for running a successful team.

You will report to the IT Director of Paulig Group and in matrix you will report to one of the management team members in your division called World Foods & Flavoring representing the Santa Maria brand.

You will be located in Mölndal but interaction with different business units and colleagues around Europe makes business trips a natural part of your work.

Main activities

As part of Paulig Group IT, you will:

• represent IT in your division and establish productive and effective IT services.

• be able to understand the different needs and requirements in different areas of the business and be able to prioritize between different stakeholders.

• be responsible for the IT demand management in your division turning business requirements into well working IT solutions.

• be a member of the IT Management Team defining and executing IT strategy both on divisional and Paulig Group level.

• prioritize and take initiative for new IT solutions within the framework of the common business goals.

• create and follow Paulig Group IT budget together with the IT Management Team. You are expected to bring details from your division into the budget and support business units in their budget planning process.

• lead your team to reach the overall targets and goals of Paulig Group IT.

Who are you?



The FMCG market is in constant change, which means that all the solutions are in constant change. Experience of change management is vital for you to succeed in this position. Your overall objective is to find business benefits in an innovative and proactive way. For example, consolidate solutions and processes. This requires a solid background within IT and previous experience of complex systems, production and logistics. Experience from FMCG (Fast Moving Consuming Goods) is clearly an advantage to succeed but not a prerequisite.

Paulig Group headquarter is in Helsinki and the group has established its divisions’ head offices, sales offices and production facilities at approximately 24 sites. Your division has offices and/or factories in 13 countries. This means that previous experience of international work is a requirement. Experience from getting different stakeholders to pull in the same direction is also a prerequisite for success.

You will be leading a team of both managers and specialist therefore we require that you have previously succeeded in leading cross functional teams with good results and with a focus on getting effective and productive solutions implemented in the business.

Our day-to-day business is quite complex and you need to grasp and understand complex solutions from both a process and IT perspective. To help you in your quest we believe that you have a good understanding on overall IT architectural design, service management and different development principals.

Furthermore, we believe that you are a strong communicator and a good leader who thrives in on an international arena, of course we are looking for a leader with a clear understanding that success is not created alone, success comes from growing together, striving for excellence and always staying curious. You are open-minded and flexible and express yourself well in different levels in the organization. English and Swedish are a requirement and additional languages are an advantage.
