Our Exciting Opportunity
Group IT consists of an organization with 5 000 people, both employees, consultants and partners. The Group IT organization within Ericsson is tasked to support and drive Ericsson's digital transformation, as well as to manage company's sophisticated IT environment, providing services to 120 000 employees in over 180 countries, every minute, every day. Group IT is a global unit with most employees based in Sweden and India.
The primary scope of operations is to:
Support and drive Ericsson's digital transformation
Develop, maintain and operate the IT landscape
Manage and drive the IT strategy
Govern the architecture of the IT landscape
Manage and steer the security of IT solutions
Drive and maintain the IT Service and Product Portfolio
Drive and maintain the IT process landscape
Are you the one to lead IT Security into the major Digital Transformation supporting Ericsson?
The external threat towards Ericsson is growing, driven by the geopolitical tensions and by the ability of organized crime to attack larger and larger organizations. To manage the residual risk and close the gap to the wanted position we have an opportunity to utilize new tools as well as elevating the Ericsson´s Security Posture; the 10 Commandments. Our stakeholders expect efficiency in collaboration with us, clarity in terms of risks we should or should not face, early and continuous mentorship as well as easy to understand information about our actual security and experienced issues and security events.
As Head of IT Security you will be instrumental in driving a “Security first” culture across Ericsson as well as orchestrating the IT Security work in all parts of Ericsson.
The role has an overall responsibility to drive IT Security across all internal IT Services and to ensure the day-to-day control of our in-house and outsourced IT operations. This organization makes sure that the IT organization excel in both protecting the company towards cybersecurity threats and deliver high quality services. You report to the Ericsson CIO and are a member of the IT Leadership Team as well as being a permanent member of Ericsson´s group common decision boards; CIO IT Security Board och CSO Board. Included in the responsibilities is also the people leadership of the team which is a team of 135+ employees mainly based in Sweden, Philippines, USA and India.
You will
Set IT security directives, policies and architecture for the overall Ericsson
Deploy IT Security Solution, certifying new/updated services
Control access to sensitive systems, IT Security Access Control
Assure IT Security, incl adherence to ISMS and 3rd party risk monitoring
Govern IT Security, incl the link between IT to Group Security
Be a Permanent Member of Group IT LT, CIO IT Security Board and CSO Board
The focus of the role the next 12-18 months will be:
Run the next step in our security uplift by ensuring built-in security in all IT solutions
Implement and/or Enforce compliance to the IT 10 Commandments, based on ISMS, across all IT environments
Use analytics and AI technologies to develop an outstanding security governance and operational efficiency
Improve security maturity and how it is measured by external and internal scorecards
Drive a “Security first” culture across the IT organization
Orchestrate the IT Security work in BA/MA/GF to be aligned with IT Security and Group Security targets.
To be successful in the role you must have
Great team playing abilities in order to support the major transformation the IT Leadership team will be responsible for
Shown leadership experience managing cross-country units
Ability to build up a structure approach in driving change within and outside the own unit
Deep understanding of cybersecurity
Thorough understanding of the technology shift driving the digital transformation
Experience in “Product Management” or “Customer Management”
Track record of delivering quick wins and long-term improvements
Ability to act proactive, being a pragmatic change leader
Excellent interpersonal skills and strong communication capabilities
