Scania is undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions. Scania Academy's mission to work with continuous learning and competence development is a key piece of the puzzle to enable this transformation.
Traditionally learning has happened in the form of settings that we recognize from classroom trainings and formal setups. Our way of learning is also transforming, and we are now looking for information and knowledge in completely new ways. Learning takes place more and more continuously and as an integral part of the daily work. The overarching mission for the group Learning Expertise is to facilitate that transition at Scania through the aspects of structural and cultural assignments.
Your duties
As Head of Learning Expertise at Scania Academy, you will lead a team consisting of experts in the field of learning. The team works with questions related to learning system landscape, learning culture, and learning about learning. As a group of experts, they serve the Academy organisation with methods and tools to facilitate learning. Your assignment will be to continuously develop the group’s individuals and its assignments. Communication about learning throughout the organisation in various forums will be a natural ingredient of your daily work, so communication skills are essential as well as fluency in English. As head of the team and part of the Scania Academy Management Team, you will be expected to actively drive discussions and decisions about Scania’s learning strategy and the development of our learning system landscape, as well as operating model and governance of learning.
Profile
We believe that you who apply have an academic degree and experience from working with areas related to learning in a global environment. You have the ability to work strategically both in the short and long term. Curiosity is a trait that drives your everyday life and continuous learning is a challenge you thrive in. It is an advantage if you have lead similar teams consisting of experts, and we assume that you have a mature leadership style with a coaching approach.
