Arbetsbeskrivning
Within Sandvik Manufacturing Solutions, we’re passionate about development and advanced technology. As a newly formed business area segment under Sandvik Machining and Manufacturing Solutions - incorporating the divisions of Additive Manufacturing, Metrology and Design & Planning Automation - we’re on an exciting journey aiming to expand, strengthen and find new business opportunities to grow our total business portfolio. In light of this, we’re looking for a Head of M&A. A resourceful, networking and dynamic doer with a confident mind and the ability to bring both accuracy and speed as we transform raw data into actionable insights for decision-making.
To give you a glance of our reality, you’ll be joining a place of innovation, agility and inclusive collaboration. A place where pioneering software technology meets the core of manufacturing, and where we nurture an ever-growing portfolio of products and solutions based on the needs of the market and our customers. And your role? Well, it’s key in the advancement of our business!
About the job
As Head of M&A, you take lead in our growth agenda, and you support us in identifying, analyzing and evaluating possible targets, as well as advise on what initiatives and themes we should prioritize to keep momentum and quality in our development plans. Together with your team, you ensure success throughout the entire M&A process - from scouting, due diligence, target setting, negotiation, deal closing and follow up - and you put the spotlight on revenue, profitability and tactical performance. By developing an overall strategy and flexible operating models, you make sure that we’re well equipped to maneuver the different scenarios and real time changes that may occur in the business landscape. You also serve as a significant expert when discussing and handling financial modeling, accounting, deal structuring and valuation.
By close collaboration with our business management and with functional experts, deal executives, advisors and various key stakeholders, you ensure a comprehensive and speedy approach for each agreement - including oversight of workstreams and tasks - to achieve the best results. Additionally, your understanding of strategic objectives and the ability to collect information and draw conclusions, provide us with an early voice on success factors and risks that contribute to M&A best practices.
In this position, you report to the Vice President and Head of Strategy and M&A for Sandvik Manufacturing Solutions. Our headquarters are at brand new offices in the old “gas works” in central Stockholm, and this is also where you’ll be located.
About you
We’re looking for someone with a commercial business outlook and broad experience from working in roles closely connected to M&As and a huge business growth agenda. You have successfully managed the full lifecycle of M&As – all the way from deal analysis, negotiations and transactions to execution – and your previous career include many years within leading investment banking or strategy firms, private equity or the Big 4. Any knowledge of the software or manufacturing industry is of course beneficial. Additionally, you’re used to working in an international, dynamic setting, and you comfortably manage a large number of internal and external stakeholders. We value a relevant degree within Business Accounting, Finance, Economics or similar, and as we’re a global player, you also need excellent written and verbal skills in English.
Your systematic approach, high integrity and core business understanding are keys for this job – and you enjoy acting in a fast paced environment where you need to prioritize and respond to changing demands from multiple sources. You stay calm and structured at all times, and you’re very confident and clear as you direct our growth agenda by resourcefully uncovering and considering information, making smart recommendations and challenging us to look at different perspectives. On top of this, you’re truly team and people oriented, and you easily build meaningful collaborations and strong networks both internally and externally.
