Role Overview

The Head of Manufacturing Engineering Inspection reports to the Head of Production Operations. This will include establishing our ways of working for our production engineering, operations and quality assurance processes & techniques, including practical and contractual matters.

Initially this will be a hands-on role, but you will have the opportunity to recruit and grow the manufacturing engineering department as we grow the company. You will assist in the development of the company production and organisation and quality management systems to obtain approval from the regulatory authorities through to product manufacturing, certification, industrial ramp up and service operations. To accomplish this goal you will work closely with the production operations, design engineering, operational excellence, quality assurance, supply chain and program departments.

You will need to develop and ensure compliance to standards for safety, product quality, delivery and value are met and maintained,

This is a new role which presents both a challenge and exciting opportunity to develop, advance, and influence the development of our production organisation function.
Qualifications

-
Minimum 10 years of engineering management experience with core competencies in the area of Process & Product Engineering and/or New Product Introduction.

Degree/Post Graduate Degree in Mechanical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent discipline.

-
Six-Sigma black belt certification and extensive experience in Kepner Tregoe and design for manufacture (DFM) methodologies, as well as 8D root cause analysis techniques.

Engineering knowledge and experience with low- and high-volume operations in a process manufacturing oriented environment.

Strong in industrial engineering methodologies, lean manufacturing, safety requirements, and operational excellence.

Strong drive, execution and complex problem solving abilities to meet engineering, safety, operational and business goals.

Excellent leadership, planning, interpersonal communication, positivity, and negotiation skills to influence stakeholders across organization, including excellent verbal & written communication skills in English.
