As Head of Marketing and Communication, you are responsible for driving the business of VAS through innovative and efficient marketing and communication. You will be instrumental in positioning VAS and by that also Volvo Group, as an innovative and customer solution orientated enterprise. Through close cooperation with our technology and commercial functions, you will participate in the design of our solutions portfolio offer and support the portfolio through an integrated and end to end marketing and communication process.
Volvo Autonomous Solutions is a new venture and is entering new territory for the Volvo Group. The combination of strong tech expertise and customer solution focus will create new business models, e.g. transportation as a service. This in consequence requires a new and innovative approach for the marketing and communications function at Volvo Autonomous Solutions.
You will report to President of Volvo Autonomous Solutions and be a member of the executive management team of Volvo Autonomous Solutions.
Main activities and responsibilities:
Drive the VAS customer experience through marketing and communication; plan, execute and follow-up. Package and manage the solutions portfolio in tight collaboration with both the technological and commercial organizations
Participate as member of VAS executive management team, contributing actively to VAS’ strategic direction and driving execution
Contribute to the development of the marketing practice within VAS, as well as Volvo Group at large
Shape messages to support the President and other key stakeholders when representing VAS externally
Develop and execute internal communications that build employee awareness and engagement of VAS plans and activities amongst VAS employees and other Volvo entity colleagues
Key operational cooperation
Cooperate tightly with the technological and commercial organization to collect and understand customer’s input, and steer the solutions portfolio offer accordingly
Cooperate tightly with Solutions Delivery to secure proper delivery of current solutions and future development
Cooperate tightly with Group Communication and select TD/BA’s to secure alignment and relevance of customer experience
VAS business model is also built on partnerships, hence managing the communication aspects of our partnership model is a required key competence
Critical competencies for the position:
You have a solid background in strategic marketing and communication and preferably industrial sales experience and come with 10 years and more of experience
You have experience in brand management to leverage a multi-brand portfolio and shared brand environment.
You have experience in commercial solutions portfolio management. Local market experience with customer and dealer interface a plus
Relevant knowledge about industrial verticals such as mining, construction, transportation and logistics is a plus.
You can lead in change and inspire others. You have proven experience in relationship management and the ability to influence key stakeholders, both business and technical
You have a relevant formal education within marketing and communication or engineering. You are fluent in English and Swedish
