Head of MES Implementation at Scania O2D IT

Scania is currently making a shift from a traditional truck manufacturer to a leader in sustainable transport solutions and the premium brand within the Traton group. IT is a crucial part of this transformation as Scania’s success is depending on flexible and efficient IT solutions that support current and future business models. 

To enable the shift Scania must become a true digital company and being in the forefront of Industry 4.0 development. Order to Delivery IT is the IT enabler for Scania Production & Logistics by delivering robust IT services and at the same time inventing and implementing the new IT landscape. 

To this exciting challenge, we are now looking for a leader who can head our implementation efforts of Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and thus making Scania Production and Logistics digitized and ready for industry 4.0 transformation. Together with your teams of highly skilled Developers, Architects & ScrumMasters you take on the challenge to drive the MES implementation roadmap at Scania and thus being the catalyst for a true digital company. 

The overall mission for the group is to lead the MES implementation roadmap for Production and Logistics and deliver successfully upon our DELMIA APRISO based platform. You understand how to take full advantage of a digital platform with a wide range of capabilities and is curious to find out how it fits in an information centric IT landscape 



Job content 

As the manager for MES implementation you will lead several teams in implementation assignments across Scania globally. Your team will be masters of MES implementations and working to perfect our methods and execution to enable efficiency improvements within Scania Production & Logistics. You will be part of the P&L Platform management team where we strive to create the best pre requisites for our almost 100 co-workers to succeed every day and thus create a world class IT landscape for Scania Production & Logistics. 

Tasks that will part of your daily job; 


• Be a role model to create an attractive workplace and an inclusive culture. 


• Motivate, engage and develop your co-workers. 
• Own and develop the MES implementations process 
• Work in close cooperation with your peer manager for our MES product group 
• Work in close cooperation with other technical managers to perfect our MES operations model when implementation transform into normal operations. 
• Work closely with our service provider partners to make sure Scania gets the full value. 
• General management responsibilities such as budgeting and recruitment

You have an IT education and relevant experience from implementing Manufacturing Execution Systems or similar knowledge from systems supporting Production and Logistics Operations. 

In addition to Swedish, you need to be proficient in written and spoken English.
