Volvo Group Digital & IT – Head of Onsite Infrastructure Demand and Automation
“Onsite Infrastructure Demand and automation” is a new function in Digital & IT aiming to grow, mature and perfect IT-Operations and evolution for all our factories and warehouses through the use of process maturity and extensive automation. The mission is to secure the journey of IT-maturity in Factories and Warehouses aligned with the ambitions of the Volvo Group
Process: Secure process performance across 32 factories and warehouses
Tools: Mature the IT-for-IT tool portfolio
Automation: Automate existing and new workloads
Monitoring: Realtime monitoring on business value streams in factories and warehouses
Demand & change: Ensuring a complete consolidation of business demands, building a target architecture and securing deliveries of services in due time with the right deployment support.
In this role you will be reporting to the Senior Vice President of Infrastructure and Onsite Services.

For this position, we are looking for a person with strong and inspiring leadership skills. You have proven experience as a leader, good understanding and knowledge of an Enterprise IT landscape and the commonalities and differences that exists/needs to exist. The ITIL framework is essential in driving functional governance across the organization. You have a personal drive in leading teams and colleagues both in your line and functionally outside of your own line. You are motivated for challenging activities in this area. You are able to set direction and objectives for your unit, and understand how these contribute to maturity journey of our Factories and warehouses worldwide.
You share core values according to the Volvo Way. You have the ability to manage diversity, work in cross functional teams and build trust in the organization. You actively collaborate with various stakeholders and navigate with ease in a multi-cultural environment .You are comfortable with driving change and also have courage to make decisions. Your team will have these accountabilities:
Capture Volvo business entities needs in terms of new IT-services and anchor them in roadmaps for delivery
Govern IT-equipment expenses on behalf of business entities.
Manage releationship & dialogue with relevant vusiness and group IT staekholders for infrastructure services.
Simplify, own drive and evolve cross-functional processes in IT-Operations and IT-Quality disciplines across factories and warehouses through collaboration with process owners
Establish Operations monitoring focusing on delivery of the full business value stream
Implement IT asset management processes
Mature operational process execution balancing local autonomy with the expected outcome
Drive a product team fualing automation for Factories and Warehouse IT-workflows
Own execution of IT-quality and Security requirements in factories and warehouses
Required competencies:
Interest in managing, developing and coaching people
Interest in driving a Product team delivering automation
A profound interest in and experience with functional governance across a large organization in IT-quality and IT-security disciplines
Strong relationship management skills
Certified in the ITIL framework
Interest in driving new Ways of Working and supporting our Group IT organization and complex deliveries to provide added value
Experience from leading cross functional teams in a global context and managing relationships various stakeholders
Proven leadership, communication and management skills in a global matrix organization
Proven experience of playing an active role in a global management team
Minimum 10 years of leadership experience leading Enterprise IT delivery
Excellent communication & presentation skills are a requirement
Complete proficiency in English is a requirement

Location: Gothenburg or Lyon however flexible on location
Travel required: Travelling is expected, 3-4 days/month, of course subject to Covid-19 restrictions
