Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
Small series within Sales and Marketing is a new function to increase our speed and focus on the e-Mobility value stream. We are aiming for a value stream with an entrepreneurial “company mindset” with end-to-end responsibility and clear accountability for the e-Mobility business. We believe in partnerships with key stakeholders in the eco-system to learn how we can create value and new business.
We are creating an empowered organisation that will function as the backbone of the e-Mobility value stream. It will be characterized by speed and flexibility, customer collaboration with a probing mindset, and a focus on developing solutions and creating engagement in the people working in the value stream.
Small series has the mission to accelerate and explore e-Mobility business. The function create and sell proof of concept solutions in segments or applications where no mature solution exist yet. We reduce risk and anxiety related to new technology of customers and our own organization by including them in the process, taking full responsibility for profit and loss but also by supporting uptime for the customer during the contract period.
We are now looking for a Head Operations for Small Series to build this new capability to support customer operation of these Small series. Your organisation shall relieve BU and dealers from these “special” cases but also train them and prepare them for the future.
In this position you will manage a team of direct reporting persons as well as managing partnerships with business units and pioneering customers.
Work description
Head of Operations is responsible for continuous delivery of value to the customer. Your responsibility starts with preparing deployment of the solutions and ends when we take the solution of the market. Your organisation shall follow the life cycle and learn what works well and what we need to improve. Focus is on commercial aspects but technical aspects will be included. Your portfolio will start in Sweden and then grow on other selected markets. Initial list of tasks and challenges;
• Deploy
• Place vehicle orders in the Sales system
• Contact with Body builders and 3rd parties
• Ensure that Type Approval is performed centrally or locally at the designated market
• Train selected dealers to deliver, repair and do maintenance of the vehicles
• Operate
• Supporting customer operation over the life cycle for example with Uptime, R&M and spare parts
• Coach and support dealers how to maximize uptime for our customers
• Your team will be experts and act as flying doctors for complicated problems
• Learn - Follow up business, performance and usage over life cycle
Your profile
A leader and a customer oriented doer that fix problems with a collaborative approach.
You are service minded and skilled in building relations.
You have a commercial and/or technical university degree, several years of experience from business and master English with high proficiency since communication skills are important for the role.
