BNEW is committed to securing our growing market leadership in radio and transport, taking a pole position in 5G, and continuing to invest for sustainable technology leadership within a highly competitive market.

We are now looking for an experienced leader that truly embody BNEWs three C’s; Customer Focus, Collaboration and Can-do attitude, to head up Product Development Unit (PDU) Transport. Positioned in the Development Unit Networks (DNEW) leadership team, you will be responsible for leading the PDU Transport organization in DNEW, which has the design and release responsibility for the Transport product portfolio, comprising early phases, product development, verification, product introduction, support and maintenance.

Job Responsibilities:
You will lead a global multilayered development organization consisting of about 1000 people, responsible for the Router, Fronthaul and Microwave portfolio, ensuring continued market and technology leadership for Ericsson;
Securing competence and capability to meet market leadership requirements
Evolving the organization and driving continuous improvements and exploration of new ways of product development
Establishing technology leadership and releasing market leading HW and SW to the market
Leading collaboration with key partners, suppliers and eco-systems​
Supporting customers, customer sales, technology interaction and negotiations


You will work closely with the Head of DNEW, your DNEW Leadership Team peers, the Head of Product Line Transport and other Units both within BNEW and in the wider Ericsson.

You will collaborate with our market areas and customer units as well as Ericsson’s lead customers, supporting that our e2e flow is executed in a customer centric, data driven and DevOps manner.

You will be responsible for developing, leading and executing a global site strategy in line with the overall DNEW site strategy. This also includes ensuring the overall competence, resource strategy, leadership and viability of the site including partners.

Qualifications & Skills Requirements:
Passion for R&D with a well-established track record as senior R&D leader in a global organization.
Business insight and understanding of Commercial /Sales process in Ericsson and in the industry.
Wide network in Ericsson, with key customers and the telecom industry at large.
Experience in customer, industry and supplier interactions at a senior level.
Excellent grasp of market development, understanding customer and competitor situations
Passion in identifying new ways of working (Lean, Agile & Beyond), organizing and driving R&D efficiency.
Accurate and to the point, ability to stand steady and work through issues towards key partners.
Confidence to present the ideas and visions for the area


Leadership Requirements:
Solid experience as a senior leader, preferably in a complex global organization with a multi-stakeholder environment.
Courageous leadership, making timely, fact-based decisions to set the clear direction of behavior through uncompromising integrity
Cultural awareness and ability to lead multi-site organizations.
Initiating and embracing innovation and change with a collaborative approach.
Outstanding influencing skills. Transparency, listening and capability to motivate and inspire people with empathy and humanness.
