As Head of People & Culture you will oversee the Human Resources functions for the company as well as playing a vital role working with our company culture and our diversity efforts. Reporting to the COO, the Head of People and Culture will lead compensation, payroll, organizational structure and policies. The Head of People and Culture must be a natural communicator with the leadership skills necessary to create a workplace that attracts top talent.

What you will do

- Recommend and develop policies, implement approved programs and initiatives designed to protect company and employee interests in accordance with HR policies, governmental laws and regulations
- Serve as a point of contact for the following: employment, compensation, benefits, payroll, organizational development, employee relations, performance management, affirmative action, training and safety
- Advise and coach managers on HR policies and programs including employee relation issues
- Work together with Talent Acquisition and handle pre-employment background checks, new hire paperwork, onboarding processes and new employee orientations
- Assist in termination process (setting up exit interviews, processing termination paperwork and off-boarding routine activities)
- Answer employee questions and addresses employee concerns with company; including employee safety, welfare, wellness, and health
- Energize and inspire staff (together with Office & Mood Manager) - always encouraging others to be the best version of themselves while demonstrating openness to change and commitment to personal/professional growth
- Foster company culture and employee satisfaction through team building events, competitions, or other events that you deem productive toward this end goal
- Manage intern programs
- Perform salary surveys and determine key regions for hiring and ensure we remain competitive
- Organize and manage new employee orientation, on-boarding, and training program
- Coordinate training and seminars for employees


Who you are

- 5+ years of HR experience (ideally from a fast-growing startup/scaleup)
- Knowledge of compliance standards and employment law, employee Benefit Administration and Payroll
- Experience scaling a startup team
- Strong entrepreneurial mindset and independent but collaborative work style
- Clear communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple projects across multiple disciplines in a fast-paced environment
- Have an adaptable approach, a flexible attitude with the ability to manage through change.
