What will you do?
As the Head Power electronic and aluminum within Procurement, you will monitor and drive the organization for negotiations and partnership with the area of Power electronics and aluminum. There is a great focus within the area of electric driveline. To build trust and to be able to role model the Volvo Cars transformation within the function, there is expectations on this role to lead the organization with strong understanding from any of these technical areas.
You will be in the part of Volvo Cars’ biggest transformation journey, driving the change with the purpose to make the Power electronic and aluminium more adaptable to Volvo Cars future business model.
Key challenges in the position
With strong leadership, extensive soft skills and change management experience you will be a crucial part to lead the Power electronic and aluminum organization.
The Volvo Cars change of business model and completely new offering brings along new ways of work including a new range of suppliers and supplier cooperation´s. To build trust and to contribute within the area, the Head of Power electronic and aluminum need to have experience from either part of the Volvo cars future key supplier areas – electronics, semiconductors or electric driveline in general. To implement and develop this new area of competence will be one of the major challenges in the role.
What you will bring?
You have a commercial or technical university degree and global management experience, preferably from multinational OEMs or Tier 1 supplier.
Sound procurement experience is a must, as well as commercial and supplier process development.
You are a guru in negotiations, strong technical interest and sound knowledge of continues production process improvements. You are interculturally savy and are used to do business in a global environment. Previous project management experience and product development or manufacturing is a merit.
Who are you?
The new Head of Power electronic and aluminum is a senior leader with significant purchasing experience within the aria and the automotive industry. Experience from other functional areas of the automotive business such as e.g., product development or manufacturing is a merit.
